Valve has unveiled the complete list of Steam Awards 2024 winners, which were determined exclusively by the community via voting on Steam. This year, there were 11 different award categories, with many winners now available at reduced prices during the ongoing Steam Winter Sale.
Similar to the Players Voice award at The Game Awards 2024, gamers actively participated by casting their votes across 11 categories, including the coveted Game of the Year. Voting commenced on December 19 and concluded on December 31 at 1:00 p.m. EST. In a delightful incentive, participants received exclusive Steam Awards-themed chat stickers while they awaited the announcement of the winners.
As 2024 wrapped up, Valve updated its official page for the Steam Awards on December 31, celebrating the 11 winners. Among the top honors, Black Myth: Wukong took home the Game of the Year accolade, while Metro Awakening was recognized as the VR Game of the Year. Notably, Black Myth: Wukong also secured awards for Best Game You Suck At and Outstanding Story-Rich Game, making it this year’s most awarded title.

Konami and Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 was awarded for Outstanding Visual Style, while Curve Animation’s innovative multiplayer offering, Liar’s Bar, earned recognition for Most Innovative Gameplay. This year also marked the return of Red Dead Redemption on Steam, celebrating its 14-year anniversary with a Best Soundtrack win. Meanwhile, Giants Software’s Farming Simulator 25 rounded out the awards by claiming the Sit Back and Relax category.
Players can still take advantage of the Steam Winter Sale to grab these award-winning titles at discounted rates until January 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. PST. Among the offerings, Elden Ring features the most substantial discount at 40%, reducing its price to $35.99. Titles such as God of War Ragnarok, Helldivers 2, Silent Hill 2, and Red Dead Redemption are also available at a 20% discount, providing gamers with a perfect opportunity to experience some of the best games from 2024 before the highly anticipated releases in 2025.
