5 Artists Who Stand by NewJeans During the Hybe and Min Hee-jin Controversy

In the midst of the ongoing controversy involving HYBE and Min Hee-jin, NewJeans’ YouTube live stream has added more tension to the situation. The conflict between HYBE and Min Hee-jin, the former CEO of ADOR, has escalated this year due to allegations that Hee-jin is attempting to reclaim control over ADOR and the popular girl group NewJeans.

The drama intensified in August when Min Hee-jin resigned as CEO but continued to manage NewJeans’ content production. This shift in leadership caused dissatisfaction among the group members.

On September 11, the members of NewJeans appeared online, issuing a demand for Hee-jin’s reinstatement by September 25. During their YouTube livestream, they voiced their concerns regarding their creative processes and expressed discomfort with the management of HYBE.

Following this, numerous artists within the South Korean entertainment scene have rallied to support NewJeans on social media.

Support for NewJeans from BTS’ Jungkook and Other Artists

Several K-pop artists, including Jungkook of BTS, have publicly shown their support for NewJeans. These artists include:

“Artists are not guilty.”

This cryptic message was decorated with five colorful heart emojis and arm flex emojis, symbolizing his solidarity with his fellow K-pop entertainers. Later, Jungkook shared another image of his pet with the caption:

“Don’t use them.”

These posts have sparked ongoing speculation and discussion within the K-pop community.

Dawon from WJSN has also shown her support for the HYPE BOY singers via her Instagram. She shared a story featuring a compilation of New Jeans’ album covers, captioning it with “Forever.”Fans quickly recognized this as a gesture of support for NewJeans.

South Korean singer and actress Eugene has been a staunch supporter of NewJeans throughout this controversy. Referring to the girl group as her “loving juniors,”Eugene posted the covers of How Sweet & Bubble Gum on Instagram, sharing her positive experiences with the members and Min Hee-jin. She concluded her message with:

“I support and love you.”

4) Sooyoung

Actress Choi Soo-young from Run On has also been spotted supporting NewJeans. During an appearance on the talk show Hyo’s Level Up on September 11, when asked about her favorite junior artists, she mentioned NewJeans. Soo-young commented:

“There is a junior I genuinely like a lot. I really like NewJeans. Not only are they cute; they’re also exceptional performers. They’re so talented that I want to keep watching them, and I even search for all their fancams.”

Stylist Kim Nayon expressed her admiration for NewJeans through an Instagram story when asked by fans whether she liked the girl group. In her response, she stated:

“I like them; is there anyone who doesn’t?!”

She concluded her reply with:

“Artists are not guilty at all.”

This statement highlights her clear support for the band.
