90 Day Fiancé: Niles Valentine’s Job Status After Being Fired Before His Wedding to Matilda Nti

Latest Developments for Niles Valentine from 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days

Niles Valentine, recognized from the popular show 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, has recently had his employment situation come to light following his marriage to Matilda Nti in Season 7. Hailing from Mobile, Alabama, Niles is an autistic individual who connected with Matilda, a Ghanaian, through social media. Their journey began two years prior when Matilda sent Niles a friend request, ultimately culminating in a romantic proposal via video call. Unfortunately, Niles was harboring a significant surprise—his desire to delay their wedding plans, stemming from a major secret he kept from Matilda.

Niles’s Professional Journey as a Peer Advocate

During Season 4, viewers were given the chance to see Niles introduce his workplace environment. He expressed his passion for being a peer advocate, driven by a desire to empower individuals with disabilities to maximize their potential. Niles had been enthusiastic about his role in assistive technology classes and was concerned about who would take over his responsibilities while he traveled to Ghana. His LinkedIn profile indicates that Niles was employed as an Information Technology and Independent Living Specialist from November 2022 until June 2024.

An Unexpected Layoff

Upon traveling to meet Matilda, Niles found himself grappling with a distressing revelation—he had received a termination notice stating that he “wasn’t working out”in his role. This news left him feeling unprepared and anxious, especially as he struggled to convey to Matilda that he was not financially stable enough to secure a comfortable future for them in the United States.

Financial Struggles in Ghana

In Ghana, Niles faced additional unanticipated expenses for the traditional ceremonies he was obligated to finance. With only $109 in his bank account, he needed to cover the bride price of 4,700 Ghanaian cedis (approximately $400), along with other costs for gifts and ceremonial expenses. Embarrassed, he turned to Mr. Arc, a family friend, for financial assistance.

“As we know in Ghana that everyone in the US have a bunch of money and you’ll tell me they don’t have enough money to marry?”

Niles’s situation was compounded by the skepticism of Mr. Arc, who initially thought Niles was joking about his financial struggles. Ultimately, Mr. Arc agreed to provide the needed funds, with the expectation that Niles would bring Matilda to America as soon as possible.

Current Employment Status: December 2024

His dedication to supporting individuals with mental health challenges has not only continued through various roles but has also significantly advanced his career trajectory.
