90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6 has concluded, but fans remain curious about the current status of various couples featured in the upcoming 2024 spin-off. Launched in June 2019, 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way has captivated audiences by showcasing the journeys of Americans relocating abroad for love with partners unable to enter the U.S. for various reasons.
While many Americans return home after struggling to adapt to life in a different country, there are relationships that have thrived despite cultural, linguistic, and traditional barriers. Season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way showcased six pairs; however, not all succeeded in building lasting unions. Below, we explore which couples are still together and which have parted ways.
Shekinah Garner & Sarper Guven
Status: Still Together
Shekinah, a single mother from Los Angeles, and Sarper, a personal trainer hailing from Istanbul, first appeared in Season 5. Their romance blossomed during a vacation in Turkey, and Shekinah made the leap to move in with Sarper. However, she soon confronted issues with his reluctance to publicly acknowledge their relationship on social media. Sarper, described as a “bad boy” with a complex history, raised concerns about trust that led to tensions between the couple.
Despite several heated arguments, including an alarming incident that saw Shekinah walk out of Sarper’s apartment, they managed to reconcile. In a noteworthy moment during a romantic boat ride, Sarper proposed to Shekinah. Although he obtained a K-1 visa, Sarper chose to stay in Turkey, but he has since been spotted in California, leading to speculation about their future. As of December 2024, the couple is thriving, recently co-hosting a charitable event in Hollywood.
Statler Riley & Dempsey Wilkinson
Status: Not Together
Statler and Dempsey’s journey began in Season 6 of Before the 90 Days. Texas native Statler aimed to forge a life in the UK with Dempsey, who was apprehensive about Statler’s intentions and their differing views on having children. Tension escalated, particularly around financial responsibilities and Statler’s commitments while touring Europe.
Their relationship ultimately deteriorated when Statler discovered Dempsey’s infidelity with a roommate, leading to accusations of financial misconduct. Although they seemed to be together during the Tell All, subsequent developments revealed the split, with Dempsey now dating a new partner in England. Statler, meanwhile, is channeling her experience into a podcast, seeking new opportunities and healing after the breakup.
Joanne Digesu & Sean
Status: Still Together

James Solis & Meitalia Solis

James from Maine and Meitalia from Indonesia faced challenges but remained committed despite financial hurdles and differences in family plans. After Meitalia returned home due to homesickness and health issues, James joined her. They resolved to make Meitalia’s parents’ house their home. Even though they confronted significant obstacles, including jealousy and lifestyle disagreements, they emerged united.
As of December 2024, James and Meitalia are still happily together, enjoying travel and new experiences while waiting for Meitalia’s sister to move closer.
Josh McGuffey & Lily Huang
Status: Not Together
Josh and Lily, who met on a language learning app, encountered difficulties after relocating to China on a spousal visa. As the dynamics of their relationship shifted, Josh expressed doubts about continuing with the wedding just hours before it was to take place. Soon after, Lily announced they were divorcing, using social media to underscore the emotional toll of their relationship’s breakdown.
Corona Blakey & Ingi Hilmar
Status: Not Together
Corona, who took a chance on love with Ingi from Iceland, faced tough choices after uprooting her life for their relationship. Despite only knowing each other briefly before making significant commitments, their relationship quickly fell apart, leading Corona to return to the U.S. for her education.
