Musical siblings Billie Eilish and Finneas have publicly endorsed Kamala Harris in her 2024 presidential campaign.
On Tuesday, September 17, which coincides with National Voter Registration Day, the musicians released a video on Instagram announcing their support for Harris in the upcoming election. Eilish began the video by stating:
“We are voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz because they are fighting to protect our reproductive freedom, our planet, and our democracy.”
Fans took to the comments to express their thoughts on Eilish and Finneas sharing their political stance.

Many social media users praised the duo’s decision to leverage their platform to advocate for their chosen candidate.
“The choice has never been clearer. Thank you. Now let’s sit back and watch someone blow a gasket,”a fan on X remarked.
“Excited to see everyone getting involved! Harris-Walz is a fantastic choice for our future. Let’s make our voices heard,”another user on X stated.

However, some netizens expressed skepticism regarding Billie Eilish and Finneas’s message, alleging that the siblings were merely reciting a script.
“Did Kamala HQ give you this script?,”an X user questioned.
“She says she’s voting for Harris/Walz because they are fighting to save our democracy, just shows they’re reading a script and haven’t actually got a clue about anything given how Kamala got into the race in the first place,”another user remarked on X.
Billie Eilish and Finneas join a growing list of celebrities endorsing Kamala Harris
Billie Eilish and Finneas have added their voices to the growing chorus of musical celebrities endorsing Kamala Harris. Taylor Swift also expressed her support for Harris and Walz through an Instagram post on September 11, shortly after the presidential debate.
According to the hitmaker of “The Tortured Poets Department,”she will cast her vote for Harris because “she fights for the rights and causes [she] believes need a warrior to champion them.”Billie Eilish and her brother also outlined their reasons for backing Harris in the Instagram video. Finneas highlighted the need to ensure “extremists”do not control people’s lives. He stated:
“We can’t let extremists control our lives, our freedoms, and our future. The only way to stop them and the dangerous Project 2025 agenda is to vote and elect Kamala Harris.”
In the video, the duo also encouraged their fans to “vote like your life depends on it,”emphasizing that “it does.”They urged people to visit the “I Will Vote”website to check their voter registration status.
Besides Eilish, Finneas, and Swift, other celebrities such as Bon Iver, Barbra Streisand, Megan Thee Stallion, and John Legend have also shown their support for Harris and Walz. Additionally, Beyonce has given Harris permission to use her 2016 song “Freedom”in the campaign.
