Yancy starts episode 7 as a free man and quickly finds himself in the thick of action after shooting Mendez. He subsequently visits the station to inquire about getting his badge reinstated, only to learn that the process will take some time. In the meantime, he reluctantly resumes his food inspection duties.

Soon, Sheriff Sonny contacts him with good news, and Yancy is called to a designated location. There, he receives his badge and firearm back from the detectives.

To this point, Yancy has effectively disrupted Nick and Eve’s operations, and this episode sees Neville reveal Nick’s precise location. However, the detectives decide against extraditing the corrupt pair until they can recover the missing insurance funds, which frustrates Yancy, as he must follow orders to pursue his investigation in the Keys.

What happens to Rosa?

Rosa opts to resign immediately after returning to her job, expressing to her sister that she no longer wishes to engage in the work of cleaning or dissecting cadavers. Upon reconnecting with Yancy, they share a moment discussing their day before being interrupted by Cody and Yancy’s father.

Rosa is enjoying a fulfilling life with Yancy for now. However, she appears uncertain about her feelings towards a romantic relationship, leading to a hesitance to have open discussions on the matter.

Nonetheless, their chemistry suggests they could evolve into a strong partnership. With Rosa’s assistance, Yancy has made significant progress on Nick’s case, and now that he has his badge back, they can tackle more challenges together.

To her surprise, she finds that the detectives have installed cameras to keep tabs on her. In a bold moment, Bonnie faces the camera and loudly admits her wrongdoings, resulting in her arrest soon after.

The lingering question remains whether Bonnie genuinely feels remorse for her actions. Having previously demonstrated her ability to flee, viewers are left to wonder if she might run again if she has a change of heart or if this is her final opportunity at redemption.

Later, Yaya discovers that the Dragon Queen fabricated a deed to steal the land. She urges her granddaughter to return the property, but the Dragon Queen refuses. In a moment of frustration, she declares to Yaya that she no longer believes her magic is real.

Throughout these events, fans have speculated whether the Dragon Queen possesses actual magical abilities. Even after Neville previously provided her with funds to reclaim her home, she failed to assist him. This episode reveals her magic to be merely a con to exploit others financially.

Now that she has used a counterfeit document to sell the property, her aspirations are to live the life she’s always desired with her grandmother, who, unfortunately, does not support her choices.
