“I’M MAD”— Challenge Fans React to C.T. Tamburello’s Elimination

The Challenge: Battle of the Eras aired its fifth episode on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, featuring an intense elimination challenge titled Getting Hammered, leading to the elimination of two more cast members.

In this episode, Kyland and Olivia announced that C.T. Tamburello and Tina Barta from Era 1, who were defeated in the daily challenge, would face off against Nehemiah and Emily as individual competitors. Ultimately, Emily and Nehemiah triumphed, sending the iconic duo home.

Fans expressed their disappointment over C.T.’s exit on social media. One user wrote on X:

“NO MORE CT PRO TIPS IM MAD”

“A hammer and nails took out the legend that is CT. This season is unpredictable AF,”a fan commented.

“I’m sooooooo f*cking mad about CT leaving. Omg. I never thought I’d say this,”another tweet read.

However, some fans of The Challenge season 40 believed C.T. may have been ready to exit the show:

“CT didn’t look like he was even trying. I think he was ready to get back home,”a user remarked.

“Genuinely think CT threw that,”a fan shared.

“The fact CT lost to Neimiah of all people is so foul and f*cked,”a tweet stated.

Moreover, fans of The Challenge: Battle of the Eras voiced their support for C.T.:

“CT makes everything so much better; he should have a golden ticket or something that grants him instant immunity. We need his CT-tips. He makes everyone around him shine too,”a fan suggested.

“Upset of the season: Nehemiah takes out CT… No more CT or Emily… this game just got a bit more boring for me,”another fan commented.

C.T. Tamburello and Tina Barta Eliminated from The Challenge: Battle of the Eras Episode 5

The Challenge season 40 episode 5 kicked off with another gripping daily challenge, where Era 1 finished in last place. With Tina and C.T. previously targeted, their defeat led them directly to elimination.

C.T. shared that he willingly volunteered to be one of Era 1’s targets. Despite their struggles in daily challenges, he noted the team performed significantly better in elimination rounds.

Having won the daily challenge, Era 4 had the authority to choose opponents for C.T. and Tina. Olivia and Kyland from Era 4 selected Nehemiah and Emily to compete against the esteemed pair.

The task, Getting Hammered, required contestants to remove 100 nails from one board and then nail 100 more into another. The first contestant to hit the buzzer after completing these phases would secure victory.

The female contestants were up first. Tina led by removing nails, while Emily eventually caught up. However, by the time Emily progressed to the second phase, Tina had already completed half of it and pressed her buzzer first to claim victory.

In the men’s round, the competition was tight. Nehemiah took the lead, but C.T. was not far behind. Unfortunately, C.T. lost, resulting in his elimination. Following the challenge, Nehemiah expressed his disbelief in a confessional:

“I think I just beat C.T. What the f*ck? For so long, I’ve wanted to be remembered among top competitors on The Challenge, and I think I’m finally starting to make my mark,”he said.

As news of Chris C.T. Tamburello’s elimination spread, fans took to various platforms to share their discontent.
