Zach Bryan encountered significant backlash after seemingly dissing Taylor Swift on his X account. Following the uproar from Swifties, he opted to deactivate his account. Before doing so, he clarified that he actually likes Taylor Swift.

On Wednesday, September 18, Zach Bryan shared his controversial opinions on X. He tweeted, “eagles > chiefs” and “Kanye > Taylor,” concluding with the question, “who’s with me?”

Swifties were angered by Zach Bryan’s assertion that Kanye West was superior to Taylor Swift, particularly due to the tumultuous history between Swift and West. Additionally, they took offense at his claim that the Philadelphia Eagles were better than the Kansas City Chiefs, especially since Swift is currently dating Chiefs player Travis Kelce. The Chiefs and Eagles share a rivalry, underscored by the Chiefs’ victory in the 2023 Super Bowl against the Eagles.

As a result, Zach Bryan’s X account has been deactivated. Meanwhile, the artist continued to express admiration for Kanye West on his Instagram stories by promoting his earlier tracks including *Good Life*, *I Thought About Killing You*, *All Mine*, and *Ghost Town*, while his Instagram remained active as of this article’s writing.

Now, Swifties have taken to X to relentlessly troll Zach Bryan. Some tweets include:

“got all brave just to wimp out and deactivate,” an X user commented.

“He knew not to mess with the Swifties,” commented another user.

“desperate for attention,” a netizen remarked.

For context, Kanye West and Taylor Swift have been embroiled in a notable feud since he interrupted her acceptance speech at the 2009 VMAs, claiming Beyoncé deserved the award more. Additional reactions to Bryan’s tweets included:

“Breaking: male Country artist has bad take. Oh wait, that’s to be expected,” one user quipped.

“Country artists have bad takes. We know this,” another user stated.

“What made him think posting this to TWITTER was a good idea,” asked a platform user.

This marks the first instance of Zach Bryan publicly dissing Taylor Swift. Reactions continued:

“Said something controversial and got triggered when people went against him. Good riddance,” an X user remarked.

“He’s so soft,” added another commenter.

“Guys I love Taylor” — Zach Bryan clarifies his controversial tweet on X

After facing widespread criticism online, Bryan returned to X to explain that he made the tweet while intoxicated. He clarified his admiration for both Taylor Swift and Kanye West, stating:

“Guys I love Taylor, was listening to TTPD [The Tortured Poets Department] last night and Thank You Aimee came on, and I drunkenly tweeted that about Kanye. If anyone took it serious please know I love both artists a lot and think we’re in a really beautiful time in music.”

Notably, *Thank You Aimee*, the song Bryan referenced, is often considered a diss track aimed at Kanye West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

In 2022, Bryan publicly praised Swift when she released her album *Midnights*. He tweeted, “miss swift what are the vibes at midnight good morning everybody and happy almost sweekend, get in we’re going crying.” When asked by a fan about his favorite Taylor Swift song, he mentioned *August*.

Furthermore, Zach Bryan and Taylor Swift have shared moments on the Billboard 200 album chart, with Swift’s *The Tortured Poets Department* ranking fifth, and Bryan’s *The Great American Bar Scene* coming in seventh.
