The series kicked off with its first two episodes, providing fans with intriguing insights into the witches’ coven and the essential elements needed to maintain control over their powers. By the end of the second episode, Agatha successfully assembles a coven of witches and opens the portal to the Witches Road.

The conclusion of the episode reveals various dark forces opposing her, as a group of black-hooded figures arrive just as the summoning ritual is taking place, barely missing the witches before they escape through the portal.

In the first two episodes of Agatha All Along, viewers learn that summoning the portal to the Witches Road requires the witches to be part of a coven, combining various realms of power to navigate the path. Episode 2 predominantly features Agatha searching for her coven members.

The group gathers in Agatha’s basement, performing a ballad intended to summon the Road. When the portal doesn’t appear right away, Agatha attempts to provoke her coven members into attacking her, hoping to siphon their powers.

Just then, the door to the Road opens, revealing a spiral staircase beneath them. The witches make their descent, narrowly escaping a dangerous intrusion into Agatha’s home.

Agatha, alongside Jennifer, Alice, Lilia, Mrs. Sharon, and Teen, inadvertently becomes part of the coven, despite the fact that Teen does not participate in the summoning and Mrs. Sharon is not a witch.

At the episode’s conclusion, they remove their shoes to connect with the magic of the Road before embarking on their journey.

Who is the missing member of Agatha’s coven?

Despite reaching sufficient power to open the portal, Agatha’s coven is missing an essential member. To unlock the full potential of the coven, Agatha needs to enlist a witch with earth powers but avoids mentioning a specific name, using Mrs. Sharon as a decoy instead.

Though Agatha All Along has yet to reveal the identity of this last coven member, there are hints dropped for audiences to speculate. Lilia notes that the last name on the coven list is marked with a black heart.

This detail suggests that the next witch to join the coven could be Rio. Her cryptic line, “I have a black heart and it bleeds only for you,”seems to carry greater meaning.

There appears to be unresolved tension and significant animosity between Agatha and Rio, especially after Rio launched an attack against Agatha, vehemently wishing for her rival’s demise. If Rio is indeed the missing coven member, it will create an intriguing narrative going forward.

While Agatha All Along has not yet revealed the identities of the hooded assailants, Marvel fans can refer to the comics for clues about these mysterious figures.

The black-hooded characters are likely a representation of the Salem Seven. In the comics, they are magical entities connected to Nicholas Scratch, who is Agatha Harkness’ son. Their goal is to usurp the witch’s powers while she traverses the Witches Road. In the comic narrative, Agatha even enlists the help of Wanda Maximoff to confront them.

The direction the series takes with the Salem Seven remains to be seen. Although Wanda was assumed to be deceased in the premiere, it is unclear which form of Wanda that could be. This uncertainty is amplified by the present multiversal chaos within the Marvel universe.

It remains to be seen if Wanda will make a brief emergence against the enemy she once cursed or if the show intends to portray Agatha as a formidable witch in her own right.

Fans can stream episodes 1 and 2 of Agatha All Along now on Disney+. New episodes will drop every Wednesday at 6 p.m. PT.
