A poster unveiled on September 19, 2024, hinted at this surprise, leading fans to speculate that Jin, given his friendship and previous collaborations with Coldplay, might be the one.

This concert is particularly significant as it marks Coldplay’s first performance in Korea in eight years. With Jin having recently fulfilled his mandatory military service, the timing of his return, alongside the longstanding partnership between the two artists, fuels hopes that he will be joining Coldplay on stage.

Fans are eagerly anticipating the official announcement regarding the mystery guest, yet many are convinced that Jin will indeed be featured in the group’s concert.

“Hahahaha Everyone act surprised,”a fan commented.

Other fans joined the conversation, conjecturing similarly.

“This has to be Seokjin,” a fan claimed.

“WHO ELSE IF NOT KIM SEOKJIN,” a fan exclaimed.

“I AM BETTING ON KIM SEOKJIN HAHAHAHAHA,” another fan mentioned.

Other fans playfully acted surprised,

“Well, they’ve toured around Asia already but never announced the Seoul dates until a certain someone special is back, so…” a fan noted.

“THE ASTRONAUT PERFORMANCE IN 2025 IS COMING,” a fan excitedly suggested.

Seokjin and Coldplay’s Friendship Set to Shine Again in April 2025

The collaboration and growing friendship between BTS’ Jin and Coldplay have been celebrated extensively. Their connection blossomed during their collaboration on the hit song “My Universe”in 2021.

This track, featured on Coldplay’s “Music of the Spheres”album, exemplifies how two iconic music figures can come together to create universally adored music. The collaboration not only highlighted their artistic synergy but also deepened the friendship between Jin and Coldplay’s lead vocalist, Chris Martin.

Their bond further solidified when Jin announced his solo single, “The Astronaut,”which he co-wrote with Chris Martin. This heartfelt track, released in 2022, served as a poignant farewell as Seokjin prepared to enlist in the military.

The lyrics encapsulate his emotions regarding this temporary separation from BTS, with Coldplay being instrumental in its writing and production.

A highlight of their collaboration occurred during Coldplay’s concert in Buenos Aires in 2022, where Jin performed “The Astronaut”live. The performance was particularly emotional as Chris Martin introduced Jin, sharing the significance of the song for both artists. Martin expressed how the song and Jin’s journey are profoundly personal.

As we look forward to April, Coldplay is reportedly returning to Korea, the homeland of BTS. Fans are thrilled and highly anticipate that Seokjin will perform or attend Coldplay’s concert, especially since it takes place in Korea. They remain curious to confirm whether he is indeed the “mystery guest.”

In various interviews, Coldplay has consistently voiced admiration for BTS, with Chris Martin especially respecting Jin for his humility and kindness. Their friendship transcends music, embodying mutual respect and understanding between artists from different realms.

Coldplay has officially announced their upcoming world tour, with performances set in various locations across Asia, the UK, and beyond. As part of their much-anticipated “Music of the Spheres”tour, they will be performing in London and Hull, as well as multiple major cities throughout Asia.
