As reported by NME, Jennifer Hudson is gearing up to launch her new album, The Gift of Love, in October 2024. This upcoming album has generated significant excitement among fans, marking Jennifer’s first release in ten years, following her third album, JHUD, which debuted in 2014.

NME further noted that this announcement follows the singer’s recent signing with Interscope Records.

Hudson also teased the album on her Instagram account, sharing a video of herself decorating a Christmas tree:

“I am SO excited to announce my limited engagement holiday tour, ‘The Gift of Love: An Intimate Live Experience’.”

In a separate post encouraging fans to pre-order her album, Jennifer Hudson revealed that her first-ever holiday album is set to be released on October 18, 2024.

Previously, Hudson released three albums: Jennifer Hudson in 2008, I Remember Me in 2011, and JHUD in 2014.

Additionally, People Magazine reported that this album will feature approximately 15 tracks, many of which will be classic covers. Some of the songs anticipated in the album include Hallelujah, Carol of the Bells, O Holy Night, Make It to Christmas, Go Tell It On the Mountain, Jingle Bells, and Auld Lang Syne.

The 43-year-old artist began her career on American Idol and has since appeared in several films including Sex and the City, The Secret Life of Bees, Winnie, Black Nativity, Cats, Respect, Hairspray Live, Tell it Like a Woman, Breathe, and many more.

Moreover, she has graced numerous television series such as The X Factor, Project Runway, Empire, Smash, The Voice UK, Saturday Mash-Up, The Jennifer Hudson Show, and Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.

Several of Hudson’s hits, including If This Isn’t Love, Where You At, Think Like a Man, It’s Your World, Spotlight, Giving Myself, and Golden Slumbers, have achieved high rankings on the Billboard Hot 100.
