Monetoo is a newly introduced exploration feature in Genshin Impact that is exclusive to Natlan. These unique creatures are scattered throughout the wild and serve a similar role to Seelie when it comes to solving overworld puzzles. Players can discover up to 47 Monetoo scattered across the Pyro region. Completing challenges related to these Monetoo can lead to valuable rewards, including chests and Primogems.

To find the first Monetoo, head to the small lake located south of the Statue of The Seven in Children of Echoes. Indwell a Tepetlisaurus to enter the ground and tackle the buried puzzle, which will reveal a Monetoo. Follow it to unlock a chest.

Teleport to the Tepeacac Rise waypoint and move south to locate two large rocks that feature small holes and Monetoo graffiti. Ascend the rocks and stand within the holes to match the graffiti patterns, which will summon two Monetoo, rewards you with an Exquisite Chest.

Teleport to the waypoint in the northwest of Ameaylco Water. Head northeast to discover a couple of Saurian warriors and a Tepetlisaur. Indwell it and dive underground to dig the Phlogiston pillar, then infuse it to access the cave. Within, destroy the floor until you descend to the bottom.

You will be teleported to another location with one Monetoo. Following it will lead to a chest. Proceed further into the cave for six additional Monetoo. Follow them to complete the Spiritwall puzzle, granting you two Precious Chests and one Luxurious Chest. You will also earn the \”Retrieve the Scattered, Escaping Colors\”achievement in Genshin Impact.

On a small island in People of the Springs lies an underwater Luxurious Chest puzzle. Complete it by locating the three Monetoo:

  • One trapped inside a cage – defeat the enemies.
  • One trapped in a wind current – move the concrete block using Saurian ability.
  • One inside a rock pillar – defeat the Hydro slimes.

Return them to the graffiti for multiple chest rewards from Genshin Impact.

Teleport to the northern waypoint in Teticpac Peak and head east to discover a ruin featuring a Monetoo graffiti puzzle. Locate the Monetoo in these areas:

  • The first Monetoo is positioned on the wall southwest of the ruin.
  • The second one is concealed within the graffiti; reposition the block to make it visible and remove the grappling hook.
  • Descend, affix the hook onto the block adjacent to the cage, and free the last Monetoo.

Follow the Monetoo back to their graffiti and infuse the pillar with Phlogiston to claim a Precious Chest in Genshin Impact.
