Monetoo is a newly introduced exploration feature in Genshin Impact that is exclusive to Natlan. These unique creatures are scattered throughout the wild and serve a similar role to Seelie when it comes to solving overworld puzzles. Players can discover up to 47 Monetoo scattered across the Pyro region. Completing challenges related to these Monetoo can lead to valuable rewards, including chests and Primogems.

Monetoo #1
To find the first Monetoo, head to the small lake located south of the Statue of The Seven in Children of Echoes. Indwell a Tepetlisaurus to enter the ground and tackle the buried puzzle, which will reveal a Monetoo. Follow it to unlock a chest.
Monetoo #2 & #3
Teleport to the Tepeacac Rise waypoint and move south to locate two large rocks that feature small holes and Monetoo graffiti. Ascend the rocks and stand within the holes to match the graffiti patterns, which will summon two Monetoo, rewards you with an Exquisite Chest.

Find the next Monetoo resting on a rock by the riverside west of Tepeacac Rise.
Monetoo #5
You can spot a Monetoo near a wild Tepetlisaur atop the table-top mountain southeast of Sulfurous Veins.
Monetoo #6, #7, & #8
From the western waypoint in Sulfurous Veins, proceed east to another table-top mountain where you’ll encounter a Precious Chest puzzle requiring you to locate three Monetoo:
- In a cage located south of the Precious Chest.
- Find all Embercore Flowers east of the chest to summon a Monetoo.
- Inside a buried puzzle to the north of the chest.
Return each Monetoo to its graffiti for the Precious Chest rewards in Genshin Impact.

Travel southeast from the last challenge to discover a Monetoo positioned near an Embercore Flower. Hit the flower to reveal another Monetoo and follow them for a chest.

Teleport to the waypoint atop the table-top mountain in Sulfurous Veins and head south to find a Monetoo near the Molten Fissure.
Monetoo #12
Make your way to the waypoint situated in the center of Sulfurous Veins and journey north. You’ll find an Avatar of Lava next to Monetoo graffiti. Defeat the enemy and solve the buried puzzle to reveal a Monetoo.
Monetoo #13, #14, & #15
Visit the pool situated southeast of Huitztli Hill to tackle a three-Monetoo-Luxurious-Chest puzzle:
- On the summit of a large rock pillar.
- At the hilichurl camp within the pool.
- Within a buried puzzle.
Following these three Monetoo back to their graffiti will unveil a hidden cave housing a Luxurious Chest.

Encounter a Monetoo surrounded by six Anemo slimes located north of the Stadium of the Sacred Flame. Defeating the slimes will allow you to follow the Monetoo.

Teleport to the Statue of The Seven, situated north of the Scions of the Canopy, and proceed west to find another Monetoo.
Monetoo #18
Locate one Monetoo trapped inside a cage during the \”Treasures and Collectors\”quest in Genshin Impact.

Teleport to the waypoint in the northwest of Ameaylco Water. Head northeast to discover a couple of Saurian warriors and a Tepetlisaur. Indwell it and dive underground to dig the Phlogiston pillar, then infuse it to access the cave. Within, destroy the floor until you descend to the bottom.
You will be teleported to another location with one Monetoo. Following it will lead to a chest. Proceed further into the cave for six additional Monetoo. Follow them to complete the Spiritwall puzzle, granting you two Precious Chests and one Luxurious Chest. You will also earn the \”Retrieve the Scattered, Escaping Colors\”achievement in Genshin Impact.

Go to the waterfall north of Ameyalco Waters to find a Monetoo floating atop a rock pillar.
Monetoo #27
Teleport to the artifact domain in Ameyalco Waters and head east towards the spring, where you’ll encounter Koholasaurs, a Saurian warrior, a Remarkable Chest, and wooden boxes in the water. Destroy the boxes to spawn a Monetoo, then follow it.
Monetoo #28, #29, and #30
On a small island in People of the Springs lies an underwater Luxurious Chest puzzle. Complete it by locating the three Monetoo:
- One trapped inside a cage – defeat the enemies.
- One trapped in a wind current – move the concrete block using Saurian ability.
- One inside a rock pillar – defeat the Hydro slimes.
Return them to the graffiti for multiple chest rewards from Genshin Impact.

Teleport to the northern waypoint in Teticpac Peak, and head northeast toward a hidden Monetoo concealed behind a bush. Infuse it with Phlogistion and follow it to earn an Exquisite Chest, which is worth five Primogems in Genshin Impact.

A Monetoo can be located next to a Saurian warrior and a Yumkasaur as they gaze at the graffiti on a rock close to the Ancestral Temple. Defeating the enemies will cause the Monetoo to appear.
Monetoo #37
Teleport to the northwestern waypoint of the Ancestral Temple and proceed east towards the small broken bridge to find another Monetoo. Remember to break the nearby cracked wall.

One Monetoo is situated on a small broken wooden platform perched on a cliff to the northwest of the Ancestral Temple.

Another Monetoo can be located on a wooden ledge near the giant rock to the west of the Ancestral Temple.

A Monetoo can be found imprisoned within a cage on the eastern bridge of the Ancestral Temple. Defeat the hilichurl and destroy the nearby wooden boxes behind the wall. Then, move the pillar using the Yumkasaur’s ability to liberate this Monetoo in Genshin Impact.
Monetoo #41, #42, #43 & #44
There exists a hidden cave within Teticpac Peak that can only be accessed after gathering all six Broken Graffiti-Marked Stones. Upon entering, you will discover four Monetoo, and following them will yield Precious and Luxurious Chest rewards.
Monetoo #45, #46, & #47
Teleport to the northern waypoint in Teticpac Peak and head east to discover a ruin featuring a Monetoo graffiti puzzle. Locate the Monetoo in these areas:
- The first Monetoo is positioned on the wall southwest of the ruin.
- The second one is concealed within the graffiti; reposition the block to make it visible and remove the grappling hook.
- Descend, affix the hook onto the block adjacent to the cage, and free the last Monetoo.
Follow the Monetoo back to their graffiti and infuse the pillar with Phlogiston to claim a Precious Chest in Genshin Impact.
