Team GodLike from India struggled in their opening match against Elevate from the Philippines during the Knockout Stage of the COD Mobile Summer International 2024, leading to their elimination from the tournament. This Knockout Stage is currently hosted in China, featuring eight teams that advanced from the Group Stage. The competition boasts a substantial cash prize pool of 500,000 yuan (approximately $70,480).

Day 1 of the Knockout Stage took place on Saturday, September 19, 2024. Teams such as Elevate, GodLike, Wolves, and Stand Point Gaming entered the Lower Bracket Round 1. Unfortunately, both GodLike and Stand Point Gaming were unable to secure victories in their pivotal matches, resulting in their exit from the COD Mobile Invitational, while Elevate and Wolves progressed to the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals.

In the Upper Bracket Semifinals, Qing Jiu Club delivered a strong performance against Stalwart, while XROCK triumphed over India’s Team Vitality. Both Qing Jiu Club and XROCK advanced to the Upper Bracket Finals, whereas their defeated opponents dropped to the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals.

Team GodLike’s Performance in COD Mobile Summer Invitational 2024

Team GodLike faced a challenging start in their match against Elevate, succumbing to a score of 175-250. Although the Indian squad led by Learn recovered by claiming the second round with a score of 9-7, they could not sustain this momentum in the third round, resulting in their elimination from the COD Mobile competition. This match was conducted in a best-of-five (Bo5) format, with GodLike receiving a prize of 15,000 yuan (around $2,100).

Recently, Team GodLike has struggled to find their top form, particularly during the past few months. Their performance in the Group Stage of this Summer Invitational was disappointing, although they did finish as runners-up in the regional Snapdragon Pro Series Season 6. Looking ahead, the team will now focus on preparing for the COD Mobile World Championship 2024 Stage 5, scheduled to take place next month in the United States.

Another Indian team, Team Vitality, encountered difficulties during the opening day of the Summer International Knockout as they lost their initial game against XROCK. Nevertheless, they have an opportunity to bounce back, facing Wolves in the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals on Day 2.
