LADY SB, whose real name is Sabrina Leite-Moniz, has recently been implicated in a significant human trafficking investigation. According to reports from Toronto’s CTV News on September 18, 2024, LADY SB is one of five individuals charged for their suspected involvement in operating a human trafficking ring in the Halton and Greater Toronto Area.
The extensive investigation lasted five months, during which Halton Regional Police believe that LADY SB and the other accused exploited various victims from September 2019 to September 2024. The arrests were made following the execution of search warrants at the residences of the accused. As reported by CHCH, investigators recovered identification documents, loaded firearms, and substantial amounts of cash during the searches.
In addition to LADY SB, the accused include Jamie Munroe and his rapper brother, Prince Munroe, also known as Casino Barnes. They face multiple charges, including assault, knowingly advertising sexual services, and trafficking in persons. Other suspects, Shywayne Mitchell and Jonathan Bennett, have been charged with a single count of procuring or exercising control.
“I had a French bulldog business,”says LADY SB during podcast interview
During her appearance on the No Jumper podcast in September 2023, LADY SB was asked about her source of income. She initially claimed:
“I had a French bulldog business.”
Seemingly confused, she did not expand on this business and humorously indicated that the podcast hosts expected her to share something inappropriate. Later, she asserted she wouldn’t disclose any “illegal stuff,”hinting that further details would be shared off the record.
Continuing with her explanation, LADY SB stated:
“I do have a French bulldog business and I have six females and one boy who breeds all of them. And I sell each pup starting at $3,500 and I have approximately two litters a year.”
When questioned about having papers for her business, she admitted that she did not, leading the podcast hosts to doubt her involvement in the dog business. When asked what additional activities she engages in apart from selling dogs, she replied:
“I’ll tell you that one later that’s not for the camera. I’ll get myself in jail.”
After discussing her business, the hosts questioned LADY SB regarding an incident where she accused one of her exes of abusing his children and photoshopping images of the kids with bruises, which resulted in significant backlash on social media.
Shifting responsibility to her PR team, she claimed she was instructed to rehearse her account of the incident on the set of the Real Toronto podcast, mistakenly assuming the cameras were turned off. However, the cameras were live, and she made a statement implying her ex was involved in child abuse. LADY SB contended that she didn’t see the footage until it was posted online.
Currently, all charges against LADY SB and her co-defendants remain unproven, as the court has yet to adjudicate the cases. Furthermore, CTV News noted that all suspects in the alleged human trafficking ring are aged between 25 and 35 and hail from Ontario regions, including Brampton, Shelburne, and Mississauga.
Investigators have indicated there may be additional victims and continue to explore this possibility.
