Sage the Gemini: Allegations by Hana Katana Explained as Rapper Responds to Viral TikTok

Rapper Sage the Gemini recently took to his Instagram to address the serious allegations of rape made by a woman named Hana Katana. She claimed on TikTok that she was sexually assaulted by the rapper during a party at Chris Brown’s house when she was just 18 years old. Katana stated that the recent arrest and indictment of Diddy motivated her to come forward with her story.

In a viral TikTok video, Hana Katana stated:

“I was raped at Chris Brown’s house by his friend, Sage the Gemini.”

She continued:

“Yes, I know I should have never been at Chris Brown’s house in the first place. This happened when I was 18 years old. I’m 26 now. I should have never been there. But, Sage the Gemini raped me at this house.”

Katana also alleged that her friend was raped by Chris Brown when she was under the influence and only 16 years old.

While discussing the alleged assault, which occurred in 2016, Hana Katana expressed her anger on X:

“I never thought I would ever talk about this but this Diddy shit has me so angry he was able to abuse so many people for so long and gain power, Chris Brown and his rapist friends should also be held accountable for their actions.”

Katana mentioned that Sage the Gemini pressured her into signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that restricted her from speaking about the allegations until now, when she is 26. She claimed that he told her their encounter was consensual, as she had no money and needed his help to get an Uber home.

For context, Sage the Gemini is an American rapper who gained prominence with his studio album Remember Me released in March 2014, which peaked at number 11 on the US Billboard 200 chart. His real name is Dominic Wynn Woods, and he is widely recognized for his contributions to the hip-hop and trap genres.

He has collaborated with various well-known artists such as Chris Brown, Kool John, Ty Dolla $ign, Snoop Dogg, and Joey Bada$$.

Update on Sage the Gemini’s Response to the Allegations

Sage the Gemini is originally from the California Bay Area. After his breakthrough, his track “Gas Pedal,”featuring Iamsu!, achieved commercial success, reaching the US Top 40. Other popular tracks include “Pull Over,”featuring Trina, “No Ex’s,”a collaboration with 03 Greedo, and “Snack”with Flo Rida.

Sage has worked with Chris Brown on multiple occasions, including contributions to Brown’s 2019 album Indigo and the hit song “Baby.”

On September 20, Woods addressed his followers on Instagram, responding to calls for him to disable comments on his posts:

“I ain’t turning sh*t off lol only people she not lyin’ to is the police cuz they don’t give our careers! #FindANewHustle”

Following Hana Katana’s allegations, nearly seven other women have come forward with similar accusations. An X user @_BabyGeminii stated:

“I outed Sage the Gemini as a rapist years ago. he’s a sick weird man who had me trapped in his house with my phone in a box for 2 days while consistently intimidating me and then ally raped me when I said I was on my period.”

In 2016, Lauren Doe filed a lawsuit against Woods in Placer County Court, alleging that he sexually battered and sodomized her, and also claimed that he transmitted herpes to her. The outcome of this case remains unknown at the time of this writing.
