BTS’ Jin Hopes to Collaborate with J-Hope After Military Service: “Are You Okay with Being Kidnapped?”

BTS’ Jin Hopes to Collaborate with J-Hope After Military Service: “Are You Okay with Being Kidnapped?”

BTS’ Jin has announced his intentions to include fellow member J-Hope on his solo variety show, Run Jin, employing a comical plan. On September 21, Jin initiated a live-stream session on Weverse, shortly after attending Milan Fashion Week for the luxury brand Gucci.

During the live broadcast, he reflected on his experiences at the fashion event, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support from Italian ARMYs, discussing his solo music aspirations, and revealing his plans to feature his bandmate J-Hope, who is currently in military service and set to be discharged in October 2024.

Jin humorously suggested that he might “kidnap”J-Hope from the discharge location and bring him straight to the filming site of Run Jin.

He elaborated,

“I can kidnap Hope the moment he gets discharged and drag him to the filming site. Hope-ah, I don’t know if you’ll see this or not, but I started working at 12 o’clock after I got out.”

Jin acknowledged that while he values J-Hope’s feelings on this proposal, he remains enthusiastic about the idea of “kidnapping”him post-military service.

He stated,

“I’m not forcing you, Hope-ah! And so, actually your thoughts on this aren’t important because kidnapping you is my decision. But you might see this so I’m asking you… Is it okay to kidnap you? Yeah, I guess you can’t answer me. I can do it, right? First of all, of course your thoughts on this are the most important but on my kidnapping you, you don’t have a say.”

BTS’ Jin Expresses Concerns About Featuring J-Hope on Run Jin After His Military Service

BTS’ J-Hope was the second member of the group to enlist in the military after Jin in 2023. He is also expected to be the second member to complete his service, with a discharge anticipated in October this year. Jin conveyed his desire to have J-Hope as a guest on Run Jin, a solo variety show that airs on the group’s official YouTube channel.

The BTS member explained that he is currently the only active member in the entertainment sector and aims to bring joy to fans with entertaining content, which is why he launched Run Jin. He emphasized that the content is created by the group themselves, meaning there won’t be any appearance fees for J-Hope.

Jin expressed that the idea of featuring J-Hope on Run Jin immediately after his military service sounded exciting; however, he also shared his worries about whether the “ARSON”singer would be pleased with the kidnapping plan.

During his Weverse live session on September 21, the Moon singer mentioned,

“I haven’t asked you for your thoughts on this yet. No, I’m not going to ask you for your thoughts. That’s right. I’m going to trust that you’ll want to do it. But if Hope really does get mad that I kidnapped him, what will I do? I am a bit worried.”

In other developments, BTS’ Jin has previously featured several guests on Run Jin, including his fellow label mate Yeonjun from TOMORROW X TOGETHER, YouTuber Kwaktube, and MMA fighter Kim Dong-Hyun in episodes four and five. He also invited South Korean actor and close friend Lee Yi-kyung for a tennis match in episodes six and seven. With the latest update from his Weverse live session, anticipation is building for J-Hope’s appearance on Run Jin in the future.
