“Serious Damage Control”: Internet Reacts as Usher Deletes All X Posts Following Allegations of Viral Diddy Party List

Usher has erased all of his tweets from his X profile in the wake of the purported leak of a list featuring celebrities who allegedly attended Diddy’s notorious freak-off parties. As reported in a Facebook post on Friday, September 20, by an account named Rap Legends, Usher’s name was listed amongst numerous other stars supposedly linked to Puff Daddy’s controversial parties.

While the authenticity of the list remains unverified, the Facebook page suggested that the “feds”would soon release a similar compilation. According to the Irish Star, the singer had around 7,100 tweets on his official X account. However, on Saturday, September 21, he chose to wipe his profile completely, effectively deleting every single tweet he had posted.

Usher and Diddy share a deep history, with Usher having lived in Diddy’s home when he was just 14 years old. In a 2016 interview with Howard Stern, the singer revealed that he experienced some “pretty wild”and “crazy”moments while residing at the record executive’s house during his teenage years.

In February 2024, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones filed a $30 million lawsuit against Puff Daddy, alleging the hip-hop mogul had drugged, threatened, and sexually harassed him. In this lawsuit, Rod asserted that Usher was part of what he referred to as Puff Daddy’s “inner circle,”which also included Ashton Kutcher and Cuba Gooding Jr.

When it became public that Usher had purged his X profile, social media users quickly speculated that he was attempting to engage in damage control.

“I got a chance to see some things”- Usher on living with Diddy as a teenager

In the ’90s, Usher spent a year living with Sean “Diddy”Combs at his residence starting when he was around 14-15 years old. He moved in with Puff Daddy in 1994. During a 2016 appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Usher discussed his experiences living with the record producer.

When Howard Stern quizzed him about whether Diddy’s house was a hub for continuous orgies and wild gatherings, Usher replied that it wasn’t quite like that. However, he added:

“I got a chance to see some things. I went there to see the lifestyle, and I saw it. I don’t know if I could indulge and understand what I was even looking at. I had curiosity of my own. I just didn’t understand it. It was pretty wild. It was crazy.”

When further asked if he would allow his own child to attend a camp run by Puff Daddy, Usher replied with a definitive “hell no.”He had previously addressed living with the music mogul 12 years earlier in a 2004 Rolling Stone interview.

In that interview, he mentioned that Diddy had introduced him to a “totally different set of s**t — s*x, specifically.”Usher stated:

“S*x is so hot in the industry, man. There was always girls around. You’d open a door and see somebody doing it, or several people in a room having an orgy. You never knew what was going to happen.”

As of now, Usher has not issued any comments regarding the cleaning of his X account.
