SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan Says “I’ll See You in 2 Years” as He Bids Farewell to Fans Before Enlistment

On September 22, 2024, Jeonghan of the renowned K-pop group SEVENTEEN hosted a Weverse livestream ahead of his upcoming military enlistment. The idol is set to enlist in the Republic of Korea Army on September 26, 2024, in compliance with South Korea’s mandatory military service.

For those unfamiliar, every physically fit male citizen in South Korea is obligated to serve a mandatory period of 18 to 21 months in the military. During this emotional livestream on Weverse, Jeonghan connected with his devoted fans, known as CARATs, one last time before his enlistment, assuring them of his safe return.

Over 1.1 million fans tuned in to the live broadcast. The talented singer expressed his intention to maintain good health throughout his service and to avoid illness.

“That’s right, I’ll see u in 2 years when I’m healthy. I really don’t want to get sick. I’ll try my best to not get sick,”the idol stated.

PLEDIS Entertainment Confirms SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan Military Enlistment Date and the Band’s World Tour Dates

On September 12, 2024, PLEDIS Entertainment, the management for SEVENTEEN, announced that Jeonghan’s military enlistment date is September 26, 2024. The agency shared that he would participate in pre-recorded materials but will not be promoting the group’s upcoming 12th mini-album, SPILL THE FEELS, set to be released on October 14.

Additionally, PLEDIS informed fans that Jeonghan will be absent from the highly anticipated SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR. The company further communicated that there would be no official events on the day of his enlistment, requesting continued support for Jeonghan, stating:

“There will be no official event on the day of his enlistment, and we kindly request that you refrain from visiting the site of his military service. Please send your heartfelt messages of support for JEONGHAN through Weverse. We ask for your continued love and support for the artist. Kindly send your best wishes for his safe and healthy return.”

After their Caratland fan meetup, SEVENTEEN announced the commencement of the SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR. Starting on October 12, 2024, the group plans to perform two consecutive days at GOYANG STADIUM in Korea, followed by shows in five cities across the U.S. and four cities in Japan.
