BTS’ Jin at Milan Fashion Week Following Military Service

This marked Jin’s inaugural solo appearance at a fashion week, and it was also his first outing since returning from military service in June 2024.

Upon his arrival at the venue, a massive crowd erupted in cheers. The Grammy-nominated South Korean artist smiled and waved to his admirers gathered outside Piazza Gae Aulenti in Milan. Reports indicated that BTS fans caused significant traffic disruptions while waiting for the singer.

During the event, Jin was seen sitting beside Dakota Johnson and François-Henri Pinault, the CEO of Kering Group—parent company of Gucci. He also took photos with tennis sensation Jannik Sinner, actor Kingsley Ben-Adir, and Thai star Gulf Kanawut.

BTS fans were celebrated for their spirited presence at Milan Fashion Week, donning purple T-shirts and displaying cutouts of the artist to cheer him on. The color purple symbolizes BTS and their fanbase.

Kim Seokjin’s Busy Agenda Post-Military Discharge

On June 12, 2024, the BTS member was discharged from military service after completing his required duty. His bandmates, Jungkook, Suga, Jimin, V, RM, and J-Hope, were present to welcome him back from the military center. The following day, Jin celebrated BTS’ 11th anniversary with a fan meeting at Jamsil Arena, where he performed for 4,000 selected fans and shared hugs with 1,000 lucky ARMY members.

He was later named one of the honorary torchbearers for the 2024 Paris Olympics Torch Relay, making history as the first Korean musician to carry the Olympic Flame.

On July 8, the French luxury jewelry brand FRED appointed him as their first global ambassador, marking a historic moment in the brand’s 88-year legacy. In August 2024, Gucci also announced him as their global ambassador.

According to reports, the Grammy-nominated artist is currently working on his debut solo album, set for release by the end of 2024.
