Big Brother Season 26 Episode 31 Recap: Makensy Clinches HOH Competition Victory

Big Brother season 26 has become one of the most captivating reality TV series in history. Featuring innovative AI arena twists and thrilling Head of Household competitions, the contestants are working diligently to solidify their positions in the game. However, in line with the show’s format, several contestants have faced elimination, leaving just seven players on the jury.

The finalists competing for the grand prize include housemates Angela Murray, Cam Sullivan-Brown, Chelsie Baham, Kimo Apaka, Leah Peters, Makensy Manbeck, and Rubina Bernabe.

In episode 31, the new Head of Household was announced as Makensy, who utilized her power to nominate Kimo and Angela for eviction. They were given the chance to compete for the Power of Veto, which could potentially save them from elimination.

Contestant Chelsie expressed her ambition to win the PoV challenge with the aim of putting Leah on the block.

Big Brother season 26, episode 31 premiered exclusively on Sunday at 9 PM ET/PT. The episode synopsis states:

“The head of household nominates three fellow houseguests for possible eviction.”

What took place in Big Brother season 26, episode 31?

In Big Brother season 26, episode 31, the remaining houseguests faced off in a challenge titled Eye Candy. During this task, players were required to stack candies and complete the challenge within one hour.

The contestants were unable to view each other throughout the challenge, with a buzzer signaling when one player finished the task.

From the seven players, the top three finishers in this game were Rubina, Makensy, and Angela. After Angela placed third, the competition heated up between Makensy and Rubina, with Makensy ultimately emerging victorious.

Before the Head of Household competition, Makensy had hinted that she might nominate either Kimo and Rubina or Angela and Leah if she were to win.

Later in the episode, the players paid a heartfelt tribute to Jankie, reminiscing about their experiences in Jankie World.

Chelsie then clarified her reasoning behind voting out T’kor in the previous episode. She indicated that she chose to support the house’s unanimous decision to evict T’kor, despite their close friendship.

Leah, however, was not satisfied with this explanation and suspected Chelsie might be trying to play the game a bit too cleverly. She questioned whether she should have targeted Chelsie during her own time as Head of Household.

Meanwhile, Makensy took the initiative to discuss the eviction nominations with each player. Leah mentioned to Angela that she would act as a pawn, emphasizing the need to target Kimo.

The new Head of Household reiterated the same sentiment to Kimo, stating he would be the pawn, while Angela remained the primary target.

Thus, the new Big Brother Head of Household selected Kimo and Angela as the nominees for eviction. The upcoming Power of Veto challenge will determine if one of these contestants will be replaced. Chelsie is determined to win the task and put Leah on the block.
