The newly released trailer highlights key moments from the Virtuous Mission, the initial assignment where Naked Snake is tasked with rescuing Nikolai Sokolov, the mastermind behind the Shagohad weapon. While Sokolov is showcased, their extraction is interrupted by a dramatic encounter with The Boss, Naked Snake’s former mentor, who is shockingly revealed to be a traitor.
The trailer also introduces Colonel Volgin, while Ocelot displays his impressive gun-slinging skills. The riveting sequence concludes with Naked Snake facing what seems to be certain doom, although he ultimately survives. Additionally, viewers are treated to a glimpse of EVA, the enigmatic agent who plays a pivotal role later in the storyline.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is set to launch on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC—including support for PS5 Pro. Though a release date remains elusive, Konami has reassured fans that the game is fully playable from beginning to end and won’t be years in the making.
