Studio Zero’s Metaphor: ReFantazio is on schedule for its release next month, with a free demo currently available across all platforms. As we await the launch, Atlus has unveiled a new trailer during the ongoing Tokyo Game Show. Watch it below, but be cautious, as it contains slight spoilers.
The previous trailer focused on the demise of Euchronia’s King, while this latest one reveals the curse affecting the Prince. As a participant in the Royal Tournament, the protagonist embarks on a quest to lift the curse. They will awaken their Archetype, known as the Seeker, and forge relationships with Followers to enhance their abilities.
Among the Archetypes you can unlock are the Elemental Master, capable of summoning a meteor; the Destroyer, who inflicts devastating physical damage; and the Trickster, able to unleash attacks on all enemies through clever theatrics. The Dark Knight can summon a legion of dark warriors to strike the enemy, while the Messiah unleashes a powerful lightning bolt on foes. Over 40 distinct Archetypes are available to explore and master.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is set to launch on October 11th for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. Progress achieved in the demo will carry over to the full game, making it the ideal way to get a head start.
