Bandai Namco has unveiled an exciting new trailer for Reflector Entertainment’s Unknown 9: Awakening, set to release next month across various platforms including PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. This trailer highlights the key elements of this action-adventure title and provides deeper insights into the unique powers of the protagonist, Haroona. Watch the trailer below.
The narrative centers around Haroona as she seeks to uncover the mysteries of the Fold, an alternate dimension that bestows her with enigmatic powers. The Ascendants, a formidable organization, are also pursuing the Fold’s secrets. Alongside her allies, Haroona must thwart their plans to exploit these powers for their own agendas. In addition to engaging in combat with various Ascendant adversaries, she possesses a range of other abilities, including Shroud and Stepping.
The Stepping mechanic is particularly intriguing, as it allows Haroona to possess enemies and utilize their abilities. As players defeat foes using stealth or combat, they earn Stepping Tokens, which can be used for additional steps and lethal attacks while in possession. Furthermore, ability upgrades such as Bracer Overdrive enhance damage output and movement speed, provided players can manage to avoid taking hits after dealing significant damage.
