Monster Hunter Wilds Achieves 60 FPS on PS5 During Tokyo Game Show Demo

Capcom has officially announced the release date for Monster Hunter Wilds during the recent State of Play event, showcasing an extensive gameplay demo at the Tokyo Game Show. A watch party stream is now available, featuring the Scarlet Forest environment and combat sequences running at an impressive 60 frames per second on PS5.

Earlier at Gamescom, attendees who participated in a hands-on demo reported that it was running at 30 frames per second on PS5. While the current frame rate may not be perfectly stable, this upgrade suggests that there could potentially be two graphical modes available on consoles. Capcom has not yet disclosed further details on this matter.

As the demo is still a work in progress, we can expect more information to emerge as the launch date approaches. The PC requirements have already been set, indicating that players will need an RTX 2070 Super, RTX 4060, or a Radeon RX 6700 XT to achieve 1080p/60 FPS at medium settings with Frame Generation. Keep an eye out for more exciting updates in the coming months.

Monster Hunter Wilds is slated for launch on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC on February 28th, 2025.
