Sea of Stars: Dawn of Equinox Update Release Date Set for November 12th

The highly anticipated free content update for Sea of Stars, titled Dawn of Equinox, is set to launch on November 12th across all platforms. In addition to introducing local co-op gameplay for up to three players, Sabotage Studio has expressed that this update embodies their “fully realized vision” for the game’s “spectacular adventure.”

Key changes and new features in this update include the introduction of *Mystery Locks* during combat, designed to challenge players with spells from newly introduced enemies. Additionally, players will benefit from *Combo Points* that now persist beyond battles, alongside various balance adjustments. The Prologue segment has been revamped to present combat scenarios right from the start, complemented by a new cinematic cutscene that highlights a crucial moment from the original story.

Gamers can also anticipate a brand-new *Relic* that triggers *Speedrunner Mode* as well as three new difficulty presets to customize their gameplay experience. Furthermore, several existing Relics have been enhanced, including the innovative parrot Relic, which improves the tracking of collectibles and challenges.

Sea of Stars is accessible on platforms such as Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The game has garnered over five million players and continues to receive development support, with the *Throes of the Watchmaker* DLC expected to launch in Spring 2025.
