Both he and Trump “hope for the prompt return of the hostages.” While Shapiro sought to invoke sympathy, George Conway highlighted Trump’s expression and reposted it on his own Twitter page.

One would think that it’s a reasonable expectation to demand respect for both the deceased and those still in peril.
