Game Freak Leaks Reveal Pokémon Generation 10 Launching on Switch 1 and 2

Recent leaks from Game Freak on October 11 have unveiled a wealth of intriguing insights, including hints for Pokémon’s Generation 10 and an upcoming multiplayer-focused game. Despite this, The Pokémon Company has remained tight-lipped about Pokémon Legends Z-A and any upcoming titles that might represent the new generation.

It’s important to approach these leaks with a healthy dose of skepticism and to await official announcements from the developers. Nonetheless, here’s a summary of the intriguing information that has surfaced.

Future Possibilities: Pokémon Gaia and Pokémon Synapse

Generation 10 – “Gaia”

According to @CentroLeaks, the upcoming Generation 10 Pokémon game is operating under the codename “Gaia”and is in development for “Ounce,”which is the rumored name for the Nintendo Switch 2. In relation to this, @necrolipe indicated that it will be compatible with both the original Switch and the new version. In agreement, @CentroLeaks stated:

“We can confirm the leak includes a mention of a Switch 1 version of Pokémon Gaia. So yes, they are at least testing it on Switch 1, whether they will end up releasing it we’ll have to see.”

Another renowned leaker, @Riddler_Khu, intriguingly hinted at “too much water”when discussing the Gen 10 games. This comment has led fans to speculate that Greece could serve as the inspiration for the next main region, especially given that Generation 9, featuring the Paldea region, was modeled after the Iberian Peninsula.

The titles for Generation 10 are rumored to be Pokémon K and Pokémon N. Although this information is vague, it will undoubtedly ignite the community’s imaginations as they weave various theories to compile a coherent storyline from these leaks.

Multiplayer and Battle-Centric Pokémon Game – “Synapse”

@CentroLeaks disclosed that Game Freak is partnering with ILCA to create a multiplayer and battle-oriented Pokémon game, currently under the codename “Synapse.”Initially perceived as an MMO, clarifications revealed that it would not fit into that category.

As of now, The Pokémon Company has not released any official information regarding these developments. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more information becomes available.
