Surviving such an encounter was a notable achievement, but Squard’s journey continued as he formed a bond with Whitebeard, who cared for him after this tragedy. Eventually, Squard reconstructed his crew under Whitebeard’s flag, who recognized Squard’s strength and chose him to spearhead the mission to save Ace.

Little Oars Jr. is a significant figure among the subordinate captains, being an ancient giant whose size far surpasses most humanoid characters. He is believed to be a descendant of Oars, who was recruited by Gecko Moria for the Thriller Bark Pirates. Oars Jr. shared a close bond with Ace, who crafted a Kasa for him, a traditional Japanese hat from Wano, which provided him with protection from the elements despite his Devil Fruit powers initially destroying earlier attempts at crafting one.
His immense size enabled him to confront LaCroix, a giant vice admiral, bulldoze past other giant vice admirals, and even demolish a battleship with ease. Despite enduring attacks from formidable opponents like Bartholomew Kuma and Donquixote Doflamingo, his resilience shone through; though he eventually collapsed, his fallen form created collateral damage by breaking through a siege wall.
Upon regaining consciousness, Little Oars Jr. managed to breach a barricade on Whitebeard’s ship, facilitating a more successful offensive against their adversaries. Sadly, he was quickly struck down by cannon fire, leaving his fate uncertain for the time being.
