Given that the season is still young, many series may evolve, for better or worse. One standout show is expected to emerge as a major player this season, especially for fans of fantasy action.
Let’s explore HIDIVE’s Fall 2024 anime and assess how they have launched. Please be aware that Future’s Folktales 2 is yet to premiere.
- Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? 5 – Kicking off with a heavy-hitter, DanMachi stands as HIDIVE’s flagship series for Fall 2024. However, in the midst of the romcom antics, the series hints at underlying sinister motives.
- Loner Life in Another World – The isekai genre often follows a predictable path, but Loner Life in Another World has earned recognition for taking a different approach and sticking with it. This has led to polarized reviews, largely due to its unique protagonist, Haruka, whose thoughts often translate into a stream of consciousness voice-over. The rapid-fire jokes can make it challenging for any to truly hit their mark. Love him or not, Haruka is intriguing, unlike the more typical characters surrounding him. This anime chronicles a group of students summoned to another world, with Haruka receiving the most undesirable skills, further compounded by his preference for solitude.
- How I Attended an All-Guy’s Mixer – For fans of romance and lighthearted comedy, this Fall 2024 series is a must-watch. It intertwines the stories of three developing relationships among guys and girls who don disguises as part of their bar jobs. While initially awkward, the evolving situations are handled with care.
- 2.5 Dimensional Seduction – Continuing from Summer 2024, this anime is set for 24 episodes and will conclude later this year. In contrast to its last segment, 2.5 Dimensional Seduction has turned up the intensity, with the introduction of more battle-centric themes, bringing it more in line with a harem-style narrative. It may not appeal to everyone, but it remains engaging.
