In an attempt to connect with the working-class audience, Trump ventured into a McDonald’s. The problem, however, is that he has never genuinely earned a living through hard work, making the video an unconvincing display. As he fumbled with the fry machine, it was clear that even making French fries—one of the easiest tasks at McDonald’s—was a challenge for him.

He is hardly a champion of working individuals; in fact, his policies often exacerbate their struggles. Thus, the entire publicity endeavor feels exceptionally out of touch.
