Overall, 2024 has proven to be an exceptional year for anime, and Fall 2024 holds the potential to be the strongest quarter yet. This lineup showcases a mix of returning powerhouses and exciting newcomers that span diverse genres and themes.
This Fall 2024 season clearly offers a wealth of fantasy and romance anime. However, uncovering a series that combines both themes can be challenging. While Dandadan almost fits the bill, it leans more towards the supernatural genre. Similarly, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? 5 features romantic interests for its protagonist Bell but doesn’t truly classify as a romance-centric fantasy storyline. Even Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- falls short despite Subaru constantly declaring his love for Emilia. For isekai romance enthusiasts, Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles presents a more fitting option, albeit those fans must also appreciate harem tropes. The same applies to Arifureta.
