Donald Trump Scheduled to Appear on Joe Rogan Podcast, Voter Concerns Arise

Former President Donald Trump is set to be featured as a guest on Joe Rogan’s podcast. Rogan currently boasts a substantial audience of 14 million listeners on Spotify.

This upcoming podcast appearance presents an opportunity for Trump to enhance his visibility. How he articulates his views could significantly impact public opinion as the 2024 presidential election approaches. A Media Monitors survey indicates that 71% of Rogan’s audience is male, with listeners ranging from those who completed high school to college graduates.

Despite the extensive fanbase, many Twitter users have voiced their opinions, suggesting that Joe Rogan is “overrated.” Some individuals, like comedian Gianmarco Soresi, argue that Rogan’s conversations lack substance, stating, “If Joe Rogan doesn’t bring up Epstein, then what’s the fucking point.”

At one time, Trump had a friendship with notorious financier and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. A video from 1992, showcasing Trump at an Epstein-hosted party, has resurfaced. In the footage, Trump gestures toward a woman and seemingly comments, “She’s hot.”

Concerns Regarding Male Voter Engagement

Critics of both Trump and Rogan online express skepticism regarding the depth of questioning Trump may face. Trump has a history of sidestepping inquiries with vague responses and fails to maintain focus during discussions. One might question if a casual conversation on Rogan’s couch would reveal anything informative about Trump’s future plans, given his tendency to meander.

Furthermore, some believe that Rogan’s current audience has already made up their minds. This suggests that Trump’s appearance may not attract any “new” attendees or sway undecided voters.

However, dismissing the potential impact of Trump’s podcast appearance might be premature. His relatable, bro-style dialogue with Rogan could resonate with younger male voters, catering specifically to Gen Z—a group Trump is actively trying to reach. According to CNN, this demographic is particularly focused on their financial situations, which could influence their choices at the polls.
