Bad Memory Eraser Episode 14: Lee Goon Learns the Truth, and Sae-yan Finds Her Father

Episode 14 of Bad Memory Eraser begins with Lee Shin’s return home after a 10-day absence. Thanks to the support from his agency and parents, Shin’s name is cleared, and the murder charges against him are dropped.

Following this, Shin decides to take a break from tennis despite his parents and Chief Hong’s efforts to persuade him otherwise. He expresses his desire to take a one-year hiatus from the sport to pursue activities he enjoys.

During this period, Lee Goon and Ju-yeon begin dating. However, Ju-yeon struggles to reveal to Sae-yan that she is actually Goon’s first love and not Ju-yeon, but ultimately fails to do so.

The prior tension between Goon and Shin is eased when Shin takes the initiative to apologize, letting go of his feelings for Ju-yeon upon realizing her love for Goon.

Additionally, Professor Han passes the leadership of their experiment to Tae-oh, who aims to make amends for their previous mistakes. This strategy seems premeditated, as both he and Ju-yeon seek to refine the experiment while alleviating its side effects.

Determined to conduct a reset experiment on Goon to restore his troubling memories, Tae-oh faces strong opposition from Ju-yeon. Professor Han advises her to stay close to Goon to protect him from Tae-oh’s influence.

The next scene shows Goon assisting Sae-yan in finding her father, which leads her to discover him through old newspapers. Rushing to Ju-yeon’s home, she finds her mother attempting to take her back to Italy against her will. Ju-yeon’s mother insists that Sae-yan must leave with her.

During her escape, a man intervenes, claiming to be her father. Sae-yan believes him and goes with him, unaware of the truth.

Simultaneously, Ju-yeon collaborates with her medical colleagues to eradicate the side effects of the experiment, hoping to succeed before Tae-oh initiates his reset procedure. She ultimately achieves her goal.

Later, Goon is in a restaurant when he receives a call from Inspector Kim, who reveals critical information about the man blackmailing Shin. This blackmailer is also the one who claimed to be Sae-yan’s father.

It turns out, the man has a violent past involving murder and stalking, yet Sae-yan remains blissfully unaware of his true identity.

After the inspector’s call, Goon gets a call from Tae-oh, who reveals the shocking truth about the experiment and his status as a clinical trial subject for Ju-yeon’s studies. Initially skeptical, Goon’s world shatters when Professor Han provides additional context.

Tae-oh suggests that Goon undergo reset surgery to regain all his lost memories. The episode concludes with Goon preparing for the procedure while Ju-yeon rushes to be at his side.

The final episodes of Bad Memory Eraser are slated to air on September 20 and 21, 2024. While the show is broadcast on the MBN network, viewers can also stream episodes on Rakuten Viki.
