Selling Sunset: Exploring 3 Clashes Between Nicole Young and Chrishell Stause

Selling Sunset first launched on Netflix in March 2019 and has produced a total of 8 seasons to date. This popular reality series captures the lives of members from the Oppenheim Group, spearheaded by Jason and Brett Oppenheim, as they deal with high-end real estate sales and their intricate interpersonal dynamics.

As the newest season prepares for its release, castmates Chrishell Stause and Nicole Young have found themselves in conflict once again. Chrishell openly criticized Nicole for what she deemed misinformation regarding her friend and season 8 co-star Emma Hernan. This ongoing feud is far from new; the tension between Chrishell and Nicole has persisted since Nicole joined the cast in season 6.

The animosity escalated when Nicole, a long-time member of the brokerage, accused Chrishell of taking credit for a property she sold back in 2020. Additionally, Chrishell has previously accused Nicole of drug use on multiple occasions. This dramatic rivalry continued into season 7 and remains central in the current season 8 narrative, particularly surrounding Nicole’s remarks about Emma Hernan.

A Deep Dive into Chrishell Stause and Nicole Young’s Turbulent Journey on Selling Sunset

On Selling Sunset, Chrishell Stause and Nicole Young have had a rocky relationship since Nicole’s introduction in season 6. Their dynamic has included three significant clashes up to this point.

1) Nicole alleges that Chrishell Took Credit for One of Her Sales

During season 6, Chrishell and Nicole collaborated on selling a property. Initially, Nicole was leading the project, but Chrishell became involved later. On The Viall Files podcast, fellow cast member Mary Fitzgerald detailed their conflict.

Mary explained that although Nicole had contributed more to the property’s sale, Jason decided to add Chrishell to the listing since she was new. She noted that Nicole received payment for the sale, while Chrishell chose to share about it on social media.

“Nicole found out it was going to be featured on Selling Sunset too, and she became really upset,”Mary said.

2) Chrishell Accuses Nicole of Drug Use

In episode 7 of season 6, the cast traveled to Palm Springs. Over dinner, they discussed group dynamics, and the feud between Nicole and Chrishell resurfaced when Emma explained her reasons for distancing from Nicole.

Emma remarked that Nicole’s birthday tribute to Jason’s girlfriend at the time felt like a slight against Chrishell, who previously dated Jason. Nicole maintained that she never intended to offend Chrishell. As their discussion continued, Nicole expressed that she didn’t want to say anything harmful regarding Chrishell’s career, leading to a heated argument.

“I’m sure you would, because you don’t have points and you’re on drugs,”Chrishell retorted.

She suggested that Nicole’s behavior seemed erratic, claiming it looked like there was more than just wine in her glass. Following this, Nicole left the conversation and ultimately took a drug test to affirm her sobriety.

3) Chrishell Calls Out Nicole for Remarks Against Emma Hernan

The latest altercation between these Selling Sunset stars occurred just a week before the premiere of season 8. The season trailer featured Nicole hinting at having heard rumors about Emma’s alleged affair with a married man.

Chrishell and Chelsea publicly confronted Nicole via Instagram stories, accusing her of being a “liar.”Chrishell later posted another story urging viewers not to trust Nicole’s claims about her “bestie,”branding them as “categorically false and super damaging.”

In response, Nicole urged Chrishell and Chelsea Lazkani, who also criticized her, to inquire about “bestie”from a more challenging perspective.

For those who may not know, in episode 5 of Selling Sunset season 8, Nicole Young suggested that Emma Hernan was involved with a married man. Despite apologizing for discussing the rumored affair on the show, Nicole continues to assert that the information came from a “close source.”
