BTS Jimin’s “Who” Achieves 8th Consecutive Week in Billboard Global Excl. U.S. Top 10 at #8 – Fans Celebrate

BTS member Park Jimin has achieved yet another milestone as his recent hit single, WHO, from his second solo album, MUSE, celebrated its eighth consecutive week on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart on September 17, 2024. The track secured the No. 8 position in the Top 10, while Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars claimed the top spot with their latest release, Die With A Smile.

WHO was launched alongside an official music video on July 19, 2024. Within less than 24 hours of its global release, the song topped the iTunes Worldwide Song chart in over 100 nations. In addition, MUSE achieved remarkable success, reaching the No. 1 position on the iTunes Worldwide Album chart in more than 86 countries simultaneously.

On September 17, jubilant fans of Jimin flooded social media with congratulatory messages. One fan expressed their excitement, stating,

“Congratulations, Jimin! Your fans from all over the globe love & support you! We are beyond proud of your achievements! Setting a new record for a Korean/K-pop soloist while serving your country in Military Service, without the ability to promote or post on social media, is truly remarkable!”

The BTS ARMY celebrated Jimin’s accomplishment for releasing a chart-topping single in 2024, dubbing it a “QUEEN.”Another fan conveyed their support by saying,

“Congratulations, Jimin. Keep on thriving and ignore all the noise. Your fans supported you in the past and will always be here for you. Your talent, personality, and aura are rare treasures, and we will cherish you forever,”one fan wrote.

“I need a stable relationship like ‘WHO’ has with the Billboard charts,”another fan stated.

Many fans applauded Jimin for his global impact, noting that WHO has become one of the biggest releases of 2024. One fan remarked,

Grammy-nominated Jimin Releases Another Successful Solo Album in 2024

The album MUSE sold over 771,000 copies of its various editions in its debut week, placing it at number two on the South Korean Circle Album Chart. WHO serves as the lead single from the album, which includes a total of seven tracks.

One track, Closer Than This, was released as a digital single for his fans on December 22, 2023, and was later added as a final track to the album.

Additionally, the album featured the pre-release song Smeraldo Garden Marching Band, featuring Loco, released on June 28, 2024. It was the first track from MUSE to surpass 100 million streams on Spotify by July 21, setting a record for the fastest track by a K-pop soloist to achieve this milestone in 2024.

With the release of MUSE, Jimin recorded his second No. 2 debut on the Billboard 200 chart on August 3, 2024. The album accumulated over 96,000 album-equivalent units, which included 74,000 pure album sales, 15,000 streaming equivalents, and 7,000 track equivalents. WHO also topped the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global 200 Excl. U.S. charts in August 2024.
