About Blue Box
A Top Contender in Jump
Blue Box revolves around Taiki Inomata, a student at Eimei Junior and Senior High who is part of the boys’ badminton team and harbors feelings for Chinatsu Kano, the future ace of the girls’ basketball team. Each morning, he trains with her in the gym before others arrive. When Taiki learns that Chinatsu might immigrate with her family, his heart sinks. Luckily, she’ll remain with some family friends, focusing on her aspiration to lead her team to the Nationals.
Determined to express his feelings only when he has worked equally hard in badminton, Taiki recognizes the challenges that lie ahead on his path to the Nationals, and how crucial it is to share his emotions with Chinatsu eventually. First introduced as a one-shot in August 2020, Kōji Miura’s Blue Box has been a staple in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump since April 2021 and has maintained a top-five ranking consistently, often achieving the number one spot, solidifying its status as one of the most beloved titles in the magazine in recent years.
