Oh, my goodness, doing that scene, I feel like I was just observing everybody throughout that scene, especially Kayla, who plays Rebecca. She’s incredible, and definitely everything that was coming out of her mouth, I was just like, “Oh my god, what is happening? You guys!”So, yeah, there’s definitely that tension, I feel like, from day 1, from episode 6, when they first meet Ariana; it’s just like, “Who is this person trying to get us to sign these papers without really any information?”If you’ve ever read a contract, there’s a lot of things that do not make any sense in contracts. Every time I sign a contract, I’m like, “What does this mean?”and, “What is the loophole in this?”But, yeah, I think it’s something that is very interesting in the power dynamic that she’s trying to use against Ariana because she obviously doesn’t know anything about the legal system. It was a fun scene, though, to shoot, and especially watching Kayla. She’s amazing, incredible. I feel like in Ariana’s head, though, there’s some part of her that absolutely admires this young woman who is so powerful and knowledgeable. There’s just a little bit in the face of how evil it is, like, “D–n, she’s a bada–.”
You’re just gonna have to wait and watch the show to see. [Laughs] Obviously, $1 million is a lot of money, life-changing money, so it’s exciting to see how that helps the characters and how they end up flourishing because of it.
