Availability of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster on PS4: Is it Possible?

Almost two decades after the debut of the original game, Capcom has now launched the remastered version of the beloved 2006 zombie survival game, Dead Rising. This remaster is guaranteed to reignite your nostalgia as you face off against hordes of zombies once again. With enhanced graphics, an upgraded user interface, and refined controls, this version promises to provide an exhilarating experience.

The central narrative focuses on Frank West’s mission to save survivors during a zombie outbreak in the Willamette shopping mall, located in Colorado. As Frank, you are given a tight timeframe of just three in-game days—equivalent to approximately six to eight hours of real-world playtime—to accomplish your objectives. Quick thinking is essential if you aim to complete the main storyline.

While the remaster has brought joy to many gamers, it’s important to note that it does not support older consoles. In other words, Dead Rising is not available on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. However, you can enjoy the game on the latest generation consoles and PC.

How Long Does It Take to Complete Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster?

As mentioned earlier, the game unfolds over 72 in-game hours, which translates to about six to eight hours of real-time to finish the main story mode titled ’72 hours.’ To expedite combat, we recommend utilizing powerful weapons in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster.

This duration excludes the time spent exploring the map or navigating the menu. Additionally, the game features two extra modes after completing the primary storyline.

Once you complete the ’72-hour mode,’ the ‘Overtime mode’ will unlock, allowing you one more in-game day, equivalent to around two additional hours of real life. To optimize gameplay in this mode, it’s advisable to keep your distance from Psychopaths. If you’re still hungry for more gameplay, you can also dive into the Infinity Mode.

This mode, unlike the others, does not impose a time limit, allowing you to immerse yourself in the game world and appreciate every detail that Dead Rising offers. If you play Infinity Mode for 14 hours, you will unlock the ‘Respective’ achievement. For those who are thorough in their gameplay, you may spend additional hours exploring.

To achieve 100% completion, players must eliminate 53,594 zombies to receive the ‘Zombie Annihilator’ achievement, followed by rescuing 50 survivors for the ‘Saint’ achievement. Collectively, expect to invest between 25-35 hours into the game for full completion.
