As the car travels, she experiences flashbacks to her childhood, hearing her mother refer to her as Gracie, before the vision darkens with the memory of her mother’s death, leading Gracie to morph into the Dragon Queen under her Yaya’s guidance.

When the vehicle halts and Gracie, also known as the Dragon Queen, is freed from the trunk, she faces Eve, who brandishes a gun. Eve discloses that she instructed Nick to kidnap her after Gracie turned down their offer for purchasing the land.

The following day, Eve and Gracie engage in negotiations once more, culminating in Gracie selling the land to the couple. With the earnings, she buys a wheelchair for her Yaya.

Yancy confronts Mendez

In this episode, having just been released from prison, Yancy hangs out in his car outside Detective Mendez’s home alongside his friend Rogelio. Rogelio expresses his regret for Yancy’s arrest as they await Mendez’s arrival to apprehend him for former evidence tampering.

When Mendez shows up, Yancy and Rogelio handcuff him and place him in Yancy’s vehicle. However, Mendez manages to unlock the cuffs using Rosa’s clip found in the backseat, shooting Rogelio in the leg before fleeing.

Pursuing him, Yancy reaches a parking lot where Mendez attempts to shoot him from behind a car. Donald, an aspiring cop, intervenes but ends up getting shot. In a tense moment, Yancy returns fire at Mendez, incapacitating him.

Asia later informs Yaya, the Dragon Queen’s grandmother, about Gracie’s alleged land theft. Though initially skeptical, Yaya is eventually forced to reckon with the evidence found in Gracie’s room, which unsettles her deeply.

When Gracie returns home, she and Yaya visit her mother’s grave, where Gracie confides that she understands how she managed to pilfer the land. Yaya implores her to return it to the rightful owner. Frustrated, Gracie admits that she no longer believes in magic or curses, feeling betrayed by the manipulation she had perpetuated with her grandmother.

Despite Yaya’s warnings about the authenticity of such magic, Gracie leaves the graveyard disheartened, only to return home and unleash her rage by breaking objects. She soon meets Egg for an intimate encounter.
