With all the excitement surrounding the Tokyo Game Show, it might have slipped under the radar that Batman: Arkham Shadow officially has a release date. The game is set to launch on October 22nd for Meta Quest 3 and 3S.
Developed by Camouflaj, Arkham Shadow serves as a sequel to Batman: Arkham Origins but is set before the events of Arkham Asylum. Players will embark on an engaging mission to take down the Rat King, emphasizing a gameplay experience heavily focused on linear indoor levels. Distinct from previous titles in the series, the game offers a fully immersive first-person perspective.
Arkham Shadow successfully retains the series’ core mechanics, including free-flow combat, Detective Vision, and the strategic use of tools to outsmart and defeat adversaries. A notable enhancement is the ability to peek around corners, viewed naturally from Batman’s perspective. While the Rat King appears to be the primary antagonist, players can expect encounters with other iconic villains such as Two-Face and Scarecrow.
