One unexpected feature involves igniting fireplaces to gain strategic advantages against the relentless waves of the undead. Below, we outline how to activate the Fire Protector Easter Egg on Citadelle Des Morts.
Activating the Fire Protector Easter Egg
To trigger the Fire Protector Easter Egg, you must ignite four specific fireplaces scattered throughout the map. Although Molotov cocktails can suffice, it’s recommended to wield the Caliburn Fire Sword for efficiency, as timing is crucial when lighting each fireplace.
While you have the liberty to light the fireplaces in any sequence, following the order presented in this guide will optimize your time management.
Tavern Fireplace Location
The initial fireplace can be found in the Tavern, situated within the Town Square. Look for it on the wall facing the staircase that descends into the Tavern Cellar. A swift strike with your sword will light it easily.
After igniting the Tavern fireplace, proceed to the Tavern Cellar and utilize 500 Essence to fast travel to the Entrance Hall. This will help you reach the subsequent fireplaces before the flames from the Tavern fireplace extinguish.
Sitting Rooms Fireplace Location
Upon arriving at the Entrance Hall, take a right, jump over the railing to the first floor, and then enter the Sitting Rooms. The next fireplace is located to the left of the Stamin-Up Perk Machine, where striking it with the Caliburn will ignite the flames.
Alchemical Lab Fireplace Location
After lighting the Sitting Rooms fireplace, turn back and head through the left exit into the Alchemical Lab. The next fireplace is located on your right, just before entering the Dining Hall. It can be tricky to reach using only the Caliburn, so consider using a Molotov cocktail for a successful ignition.
Dining Hall Fireplace Location
The last fireplace awaits in the Dining Hall, accessible from the Alchemical Lab, positioned just beneath the Vulture Aid Perk. Strike this final fireplace with the Caliburn and watch as the Fire Protector Easter Egg is activated. Once triggered, it’ll unleash fiery projectiles that will set all nearby zombies ablaze, providing a significant tactical advantage.
