The arrest of Sean “Diddy”Combs on September 16, 2024, has sparked a wave of reactions across various social media platforms. The renowned rapper faces serious charges including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for the purpose of engaging in prostitution. Notably, fellow rapper Boosie BadAzz expressed his views regarding Diddy’s arrest on September 18 via social media.
Through his official page on X (formerly Twitter), Boosie shared his thoughts in two separate statements, writing:
“I feel Diddy in jail for basically doing what every other famous entertainer has done ‘flew b*tches out for 3 somes’ he just freakier!! We actually going to call women prostitutes who fly in willingly to be with their partners for sex? If that’s the case, if you’ve been flewed out and had sex, you should be labeled a prostitute. If that’s the case, that’s 80% of the women reading this.”
Boosie further criticized the trafficking charges against Diddy, stating:
“You’re never in one place. When I saw that video, I was pissed off at this n*gga like he really got a problem. But facing life in prison for doing basically what so many other entertainers have done? #IDisagree.”
In subsequent posts, Boosie indicated that the charges Diddy faces may set a precedent for targeting other celebrities in future cases. He remarked:
“Who flying their yeah yeahs in to turn up? Who’s always in a different city and gotta fly p*ssy to them? Who ain’t tripping and goes to give their sex partner a little change? Think about it, this sh*t is real. If you fly a chick in, and y’all turn up and you give her a little change so she’s straight when she goes home, that’s sex trafficking!!”
Diddy Planning to Appeal Court’s Bail Rejection
Following his September 16 arrest, Combs was presented in court the next day, where US Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnofsky ordered him to remain in custody. If convicted, Diddy could face significant prison time.
Diddy denied the allegations during a two-hour hearing. His attorney, Marc Agnifilo, sought to secure a $50 million bond for his release, which was ultimately denied. The proposed bail conditions included weekly drug tests, home detention, and surrendering his passport.
Currently, Diddy is being held in the Special Housing Unit of the Brooklyn-based Metropolitan Detention Center. It was reported that he plans to appeal the court’s decision on his bail denial on September 18.
Several reasons contributed to the bail rejection, including the discovery of weapons during searches at his residences in various cities earlier in March 2024. Additionally, surveillance footage reportedly shows Diddy assaulting Cassie Ventura, leading prosecutors to argue that he might attempt to evade the investigation.
According to Page Six, a grand jury indictment listed items seized during the home raids that were connected to the alleged sex activities termed “Freak Offs,”occurring at various hotels. The confiscated items included narcotics, as well as numerous bottles of baby oil and lubricant.
Other celebrities, including Aubrey O’Day, have also reacted to Diddy’s arrest, expressing to TMZ that they are processing the ‘type of vindication’ they currently feel.
