“One month, that’s right just 30 days! Time originally only felt cruel but now I have started to grow fond of it that now it feels affectionate. I organized my stuff and I have handed out the items that I used well to my successors.”
In his letter, the male artist shared that he felt a profound connection as he looked at the empty locker and storage space where he kept his belongings.
BTS’ j-hope expressed empathy for fellow military recruits
BTS’ j-hope reflected on his own experiences, recalling the nervousness and apprehension he felt during his early days. The sound of a locker opening once caused him anxiety; however, he recently confided that he felt a sense of empathy for the new recruits entering mandatory conscription, recognizing himself in them.
As he reminisced about his time in the military, he experienced a mix of emotions, feeling both joy and pride. j-hope also shared that he was promoted to Sergeant in the later stages of his service and wrote his letter while resting in bed. He expressed his contentment with the holidays, allowing him time to relax.
The idol extended his warm wishes for a prosperous Chuseok (the mid-autumn harvest festival and a three-day holiday in South Korea), stating, as translated by X user @miiniyoongs:
“But I came to say happy chuseok but as if it’s fate, today’s also the day I have exactly 30 days left~right now when everyone is peacefully with their families, my mind is filled with a pigeon flying about. It’s quite a warm chuseok!! But I wish that you have a prosperous/filling hangawi and I am sending my greetings to you.”
j-hope concluded his heartfelt message with hopes for the arrival of fall, wishing to gather fallen autumn leaves in his thoughts. He eagerly anticipates seeing ARMYs next month on October 17, 2024, and encouraged the fandom to stay healthy and take care of themselves.
BTS’ j-hope began his mandatory military service on April 18, 2023, becoming the second member of the group to enlist.
