BTS’ V and Park Hyo Shin Celebrate Billboard Success with “Winter Ahead”
This week, BTS member V, in collaboration with acclaimed artist Park Hyo Shin, has achieved remarkable success with their latest single, “Winter Ahead.” The track has risen above the competition to secure the top position on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart, a celebrated milestone announced by the magazine on December 10.
Chart Debuts and Achievements
“Winter Ahead”not only claimed the top spot on the Digital Song Sales chart, but it also made a notable entry at position #99 on the prestigious Billboard Hot 100, which tracks the most popular songs across the United States. This achievement marks Park Hyo Shin’s inaugural appearance on the Hot 100, cementing his status in the U.S. music scene.
For V, this track marks his fifth solo entry into the Hot 100 chart. His previous singles include:
- “Love Me Again”– peaked at #96
- “Christmas Tree”– peaked at #79
- “FRI(END)S”– peaked at #65
- “Slow Dancing”– peaked at #51
Global Success and Representation
In addition to these achievements, “Winter Ahead”has climbed to an impressive #14 on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart and has landed at #33 on the Global 200 this week, demonstrating its international appeal.

This release has also propelled V back onto the Billboard Artist 100 list, where he currently holds the #88 spot, marking a total of 11 weeks spent as a solo artist on this chart.
About “Winter Ahead”
Released on November 29, “Winter Ahead”is part of V’s upcoming Christmas album, featuring a collaboration with Bing Crosby, a jazz legend whom V has admired throughout his life. Expressing his gratitude, V stated:
