The Genetic Apex SP Emblem Event 1 is now live in Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket, introducing an exciting challenge for players seeking impressive rewards. Launched at the end of October, the game has surged in popularity, benefiting from frequent events that encourage daily engagement from fans.
Since its release on October 31, Pokemon TCG Pocket has reported generating over $200 million in revenue, making it the third best-selling app in the Pokemon franchise, right behind Pokemon Sleep and Pokemon Unite. As the game continues to gain traction, players are eagerly anticipating new card additions and features predicted for future updates throughout 2025. A plethora of events has already provided opportunities for players to unlock rare cards and other enticing rewards, but the upcoming event is poised to be the most challenging yet.
Challenge Yourself: Win Five Consecutive Event Battles
Initiated on December 9 and concluding on December 16, the Genetic Apex SP Emblem Event 1 emerges as a premier Player vs. Player (PvP) competition within Pokemon TCG Pocket. Participants must conquer a series of progressively tougher battles to earn distinctive emblems that can adorn their in-game profiles. A key feature is that a single loss resets all progress, adding an extra layer of intensity to the challenge.
Rewards include unique emblems tied to achieving two, three, four, and five consecutive wins, with the ultimate emblem showcasing a regal gold and purple crown accompanied by a matching ribbon.
In addition to the emblems, players can participate in 10 special missions designed to yield rewards of Pack Hourglasses and Shinedust. Unlike the Event Battles, players can complete these missions through casual gameplay with friends or random matches, making it easier to accumulate rewards. Successfully finishing all missions grants a total of 24 Pack Hourglasses and 3,850 Shinedust.
As we approach the end of 2024, developers have hinted at the introduction of new booster packs for Pokemon TCG Pocket. Fans are keenly awaiting further information about this expansion. Notably, the Genetic Apex booster packs will continue to be available post-expansion, allowing players to take their time completing their Pokédex. Starting in January 2025, trading of select cards will also be introduced gradually, with buzz about the next potential event, the Bulbasaur and Magnemite Wonder Pick Event 2, circulating among enthusiasts, although this remains unconfirmed.
