Sean Diddy Combs Indicted on Three Criminal Counts

On Monday, September 16, Combs was arrested and subsequently indicted by a Manhattan judge on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and interstate transportation for prostitution. This follows several recent lawsuits against the music mogul, all of which he has denied.

A 14-page indictment was proposed against the rapper, detailing accusations from U.S. Attorney Damian Williams of the Southern District of New York:

“Between at least 2008 and the present, Combs abused, threatened, and coerced victims to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct.”

Furthermore, the indictment alleges that Diddy utilized his business empire to facilitate these illegal activities.

“As alleged in the indictment, to carry out this conduct, Sean Combs led and participated in a racketeering conspiracy that used the business empire he controlled to execute criminal activity,”Williams further stated.

According to the rapper’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, Combs is innocent and intends to clear his name in court. Additionally, Combs requested bail on Tuesday, which was denied by the judge. He is currently held in the Special Housing Unit in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
