Introducing Winter Wonder, the sixth free DLC stage brought to life by Team Asobi for the beloved game Astro Bot. This stage sets itself apart from its predecessors by emphasizing exploration, challenging players to utilize nearly every power-up and ability to locate an impressive total of 15 Christmas presents. These gifts hold a treasure trove of collectibles, including seven Cameo Bots, four unique outfits, and four stylish Dual Speeder skins.
Players are granted freedom in the order of opening presents, with one exception: the final Cameo Bot will remain under wraps until the previous 14 are found. For optimal gameplay, we recommend a strategic approach to collecting the Winter Wonder rewards, as some items may be best obtained in a specific sequence.
To embark on the Winter Wonder adventure, players must navigate to the Galaxy Select screen and collide with a festive planet adorned with a Christmas hat.

Winter Wonder Outfit #1 (Festive Fellow)
The first gift containing the Festive Fellow outfit is positioned towards the stage’s beginning. Grabbing this unlocks the Astro-ho-ho! Trophy. Players can track their collected gifts using the blue sign to the right of the present, ensuring they remain informed of their progress.
Winter Wonder Cameo Bot #1 (Rayman)
To locate the first Cameo Bot, players should navigate to blue balloons featuring a stopwatch. Here lies a chest linked to the Slo-Mo Casino stage’s stopwatch power-up. Utilize this power-up to ascend the floating platforms to the ledge behind a turquoise frog statue, revealing a group of birds. Timing is crucial; players must activate the stopwatch again to grab the gift, revealing a Cameo Bot inspired by Ubisoft’s Rayman franchise.
Winter Wonder Outfit #2 (Vengeful Spirit)
From the Rayman Cameo Bot, players will encounter brown balloons showcasing monkeys. Hovering around the circular platform buried in the snow activates it, revealing a chest with the monkey power-up from the Go-Go Archipelago! stage. Upon collecting it, players should hop left off the ledge and spin punch two blue flowers on the wall, granting access to the Vengeful Spirit Outfit, modeled after Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima.
Winter Wonder Dual Speeder Skin #1 (Polygon Polychroma)
Return to the area where players first obtained the monkey power-up, employing it to leap atop a windmill’s circular disc. Performing a slam with L2 and R2 dislodges snow, uncovering the gift containing the Polygon Polychroma Dual Speeder skin.
Winter Wonder Cameo Bot #6 (Miles Morales)
Once players secure the Polygon Polychroma skin, a swing bar will emerge, enabling access to a platform with an igloo. Punching the snowman reveals a blue X on the ground; executing a spin punch here grants entrance to a secret area featuring a chest with the puffer fish power-up from the Sky Garden stage. Using this power-up in combination with a metal squid allows access to floating platforms near the giant Christmas tree, where the Miles Morales Cameo Bot awaits.
Upon arriving at the floating platforms by the Christmas tree, players can spot a squid balloon to their left, granting elevation to the top of the massive tree. Accomplishing this unlocks the You’re a star! Trophy, alongside a picturesque photo spot for capturing memorable moments in Astro Bot.
Winter Wonder Dual Speeder Skin #2 (Urban Dash)
In the early section of the stage, players will notice a UFO hovering with a gift. One effective method to claim it is using the stopwatch power-up while the UFO aligns with a slope, allowing a timely punch to dislodge the gift containing the Urban Dash Dual Speeder skin.
Winter Wonder Cameo Bot #2 (Gex)
Close to the UFO soar some dark green balloons, signaling the location of the elephant power-up. After acquiring it, players can scale the nearby orange cubes using the orange gel held by a mole-like creature. Absorbing the orange gel reveals the present containing a Cameo Bot dedicated to Gex.
Winter Wonder Dual Speeder Skin #3 (Jolly Holly)
At the center of the stage lies a shallow pit brimming with sparkling Christmas decorations. Players can uncover a cable within this pit that, when pulled, reveals the present containing the Jolly Holly Dual Speeder skin.
Winter Wonder Cameo Bot #3 (Tomba)
Nearby, players will observe light blue balloons with penguins. By descending into the well below, they can acquire the penguin power-up, utilized to break through a destructible wall. Upon crossing, players should leap from the water to punch open a gold gift, unveiling a Cameo Bot inspired by Tomba from Whoopee Camp’s Tomba! games.
Winter Wonder Dual Speeder Skin #4 (Retro Royale)
To the left side of the stage, players can find a cluster of light green balloons that indicate the spot for the frog power-up from the Az-Tech Trail stage. Upon collecting it, they’ll swing on red beams and punch a giant green blob, triggering a slingshot mechanism. Following this, players will be propelled to a new island where they’ll need to knock down a black crate to access a gift containing the Retro Royale Dual Speeder skin.
Winter Wonder Cameo Bot #4 (Worm)
After securing the Retro Royale skin, players should ride the blue spinning platform back to the previous area, where they can discover a chest containing the canon ball power-up. By jumping into a nearby volcano in this form, they will be launched toward a house. Here, players can harness the power-up alongside black platforms to access the roof and slide down the chimney, which conceals a Cameo Bot drawing inspiration from Team 17’s Worms franchise.
Winter Wonder Outfit #3 (Antler Adventurer)
Towards the center of the stage, players will encounter a pile of glittering Christmas baubles clustered around golden balloons. Activating Astro’s jets will shatter the glass underneath the decorations, allowing access to the mouse power-up from the Downsize Surprise stage. Players need to shrink down and sneak through an adjacent tunnel, leading to a hidden area with a ship in a bottle. Once transformed back to normal size to extract the cork, shrinking again reveals a present containing the Antler Adventurer outfit.
Winter Wonder Cameo Bot #5 (Croc)
Exiting the mouse area using a spinning platform will guide players to another chest containing the Chicken power-up. Utilizing this will allow them to climb to the top of a nearby lighthouse. Upon reaching the top, players can unveil the fifth Winter Wonder Cameo Bot, a nod to the titular character from the Croc games, sure to delight fans from the PS1 era.
Winter Wonder Outfit #4 (Archstone Explorer)
Positioned to the right of the giant Christmas tree, brown balloons adorned with teddy bears lead to the cymbal power-up from the Final Encore stage. Ringing the cymbals near four nearby lightbulbs activates a green rail, guiding players to a concealed area within the stage’s outer wall. Here, Astro must exploit his jets to depress a floor tile, unveiling the Archstone Explorer outfit inspired by the character from Demon’s Souls.
Winter Wonder Cameo Bot #7 (Spider-Man)
Upon collecting all golden presents, players will trigger a cutscene revealing a platinum present beneath the majestic Christmas tree. Inside, they will discover the seventh and final Winter Wonder Cameo Bot, inspired by Marvel’s Spider-Man. Claiming this Bot also unlocks the prestigious Unwrapped! Trophy, rounding off the trio of Winter Wonder trophies.
