Radio Towers play a crucial role in the gameplay of Atomfall, particularly if you opt to follow the guidance of Joyce Tanner. In total, there are three radio towers located in distinct settings: Slatten Dale, Skethermoor, and Casterfell Woods. The game presents players with six possible endings, each linked to a notable NPC that offers an escape route.
The primary aim in Atomfall is to navigate out of the quarantine zone, and you can achieve this by forging alliances with one of six NPCs: Joyce Tanner, The Unknown Telephone Caller, Captain Grant Sims, Dr. Garrow, Dr. Alan Holder, or Mother Jago. Importantly, if Joyce Tanner’s path is not pursued, the radio towers become irrelevant.
This guide will outline the locations of all three radio towers and provide detailed information on where to find the keycards necessary to activate them.
Radio Tower Locations and Keycard Guide in Atomfall
Initially, Joyce Tanner won’t be available for interaction. Players need to progress substantially before she can be accessed. Begin by entering the Interchange and powering up the Interchange Bootstrap. Subsequently, activate the Charlie Data Center. After completing these steps, you will find Joyce Tanner in the Charlie Data Center.
If you neglect to speak with her, the radio towers will remain locked for you. During your conversation, she reveals that she has restored power but is unable to connect due to the operators abandoning their roles as a result of the quarantine.
Your mission involves locating each radio tower and retrieving the corresponding keycard to disengage the security locks. Below, you will find specific details regarding the tower locations as well as where to find their keycards.
1. Slatten Dale Radio Tower
Positioned on the eastern side of the Slatten Dale region, the radio tower can be found at coordinates 31 E, 75.0 N. Proceed with caution, as there is an Outlaw camp nearby ready to attack.

The keycard is hidden within a cave right beneath the tower. You can reach it through one of the following methods:
- Aggressive Path: Engage the Outlaws and proceed directly to the quarry leading to the cave.
- Stealth Path: Navigate around the area to find a quarry with shallow water; be cautious of fish attacks that can inflict damage over time.
To access the cave, climb onto the metal beams until you reach the entrance. Inside, follow the path until you encounter a small opening to crawl through. Continue onwards to discover a corpse; inspect it to collect the keycard.
With the keycard in hand, return to the radio tower to complete its activation.
2. Skethermoor Radio Tower
The Skethermoor Radio Tower is found in the southeast section of the map at 43.1 E, 73.6 N. Inside the tower, you will discover a note providing subtle hints about where to find the keycard.

The keycard is located in the Vehicle Storage Bunker at coordinates 43.4 E, 74.6 N, not far from the distinctive blue Greenhouse landmark.
Outlaws patrol the vicinity of the Greenhouse, so you have the option to either eliminate them or rush into the bunker. Bear in mind that inside, you may provoke the Protocol Units, who will attack on sight. Handle them before proceeding through the left entrance.
While navigating the bunker, some doors may be locked, but you can find alternative routes by crawling through tight spaces or scaling obstacles. Once you find the red-lit room, ascend the platform, crawl rightward, and discover another chamber.
At the top of the stairs in this room, you will find the Skethermoor Radio Tower Keycard on a table. After securing it, head back to the radio tower to activate it.
3. Casterfell Woods Radio Tower
Located near the heart of the region, the Casterfell Woods Radio Tower can be found at 24.8 E, 89.3 N. Inside, you’ll encounter a note that provides ambiguous clues regarding the keycard’s whereabouts.

The keycard is secured within Bunker L9, situated at 23.3 E, 90.6 N. Prepare for an encounter with Ferals once you enter the bunker.
Upon entry, you will need to pull a lever to activate ventilation and clear out the radiation smoke. Once you have done this, ascend the stairs to your left to find the keycard on a table.
Alternative Safe Method:
- Upon entry, immediately turn left.
- Scale the elevated area, then crawl through a tight opening.
- Proceed forward, take a right, and locate a nearby ladder.
- A Radiation Serum is recommended prior to climbing as radiation levels are elevated.
- Quickly grab the keycard and exit. Ensure you have full health to mitigate radiation exposure if the serum isn’t used.
After acquiring the keycard, return to the radio tower to activate it.
Activating all three radio towers fulfills Joyce Tanner’s initial objective, paving the way for your escape from the quarantine zone.
