Capcom’s Online Program for Tokyo Game Show 2024 has recently concluded, revealing exciting new gameplay footage for Monster Hunter Wilds. The comprehensive overview trailer provides insights into the game’s features, highlighting everything from embarking on Expeditions to hunting formidable monsters and collaborating with other players. Watch the trailer below.
Set in the enigmatic Forbidden Lands, Monster Hunter Wilds follows the Research Commission as they send a fleet to uncover its secrets. Players will find themselves quickly drawn into a chase for Arkveld, also known as the White Wraith. This game takes a new direction from previous installments by allowing players to establish camps in various locations, enabling them to hunt monsters continuously without the need to return to base.
The core mechanics of hunting and carving targets to gather materials for crafting and upgrading weapons and armor remain unchanged. Players can still send out an SOS call for assistance from fellow hunters; however, an offline mode is available for teaming up with friendly NPCs. Unlike in Monster Hunter Rise, players can have up to three AI companions to support them during their hunts.
Monster Hunter Wilds is set to launch on February 28th, 2025, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
