Exploring Balatro’s Friends of Jimbo 1 Pack

Launched in August, the first installment of the ‘Friends of Jimbo’ free DLC introduced four new card packs, each inspired by notable video games:

  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
  • Dave the Diver
  • Among Us
  • Vampire Survivors

This crossover featured iconic characters such as Geralt, Yennefer, and Dandelion from The Witcher 3, who assumed the roles of the King, Queen, and Jack of Spades, respectively. Meanwhile, Dave the Diver’s titular character made waves as a Diamond, accompanied by his friends Cobra and Bancho. The Hearts suit was filled with the Red Crewmate from Among Us, while Vampire Survivors contributed Bisconte Draculó, Queen Sigma, and Poe Ratcho to the Clubs, the latter famously portrayed holding a signature bulb of garlic.

Following its success, the second Friends of Jimbo pack was unveiled in October, adding another set of four decks drawn from exciting video game franchises:

  • The Binding of Isaac
  • Slay the Spire
  • Stardew Valley
  • Cyberpunk 2077

This time, the Hearts deck featured The Binding of Isaac’s protagonist, along with his dismembered cat Guppy and his mother’s leg. The Clubs welcomed Slay the Spire’s trio: the Defect, Silent, and Ironclad. Stardew Valley’s beloved characters, including Pierre, Marnie, and Lewis, added their charm to the Diamonds, while Cyberpunk 2077 brought Johnny Silverhand, Jackie Welles, and Rogue Amendiares into the Spades.

Interestingly, both Dave the Diver and Cyberpunk 2077 have reciprocated by incorporating quests related to Balatro, reflecting the game’s growing influence and popularity.
